Fortunately it was snap-in carpet, so that wasn't too tough. :D

Big Block Power wrote: Tue Oct 09, 2018 12:44 pm I like that. Nice thought on the naked feet pad. Myself I think the sun helps it stick. So I would wait to put it on till you can get the sun to shine on it some and help stick the edges. My 2 cents.
Appreciate the input BBP, think I'll look for a warm sunny fall day and do just that.

Re: Aqua Marine Deck vs. Seadek

My mica over black SeaDek arrived last night, I winterized on Saturday.

So what I'm wondering is if I should install now or wait until spring... Any thoughts on that?

Re: OEM Inflator/Deflator

Anyone have one of these they want to part with. Our storage area has the brackets, but seems it's long gone. https://www.metrovacworld.com/masterproduct/MagicAir_Electric_InflatorDeflator Thanks! I ordered one from ebay when we 'lost' ours. It really doesn't work very fast so we carry a Coleman as...

Re: Paint or Labor?

Myself I would buy the gel coat black over your painted black if they were side by side. I can fix gell coat myself the paint I can't. I love my black Cobait no way would I paint her. If it was a formula yep it's painted then paint it. I personally don't think there is much work to my gel. Cleans e...

Re: Paint or Labor?

Any reason you wouldn't buy one that has been professionally painted knowing that Cobalt has such good gelcoat? Here's how it looks as of last polishing a few weeks ago: Looks terrific. And I agree gelcoat is soft and shows every scuff. My fear as a buyer is did the prep pull the impregnated chemic...

Re: Paint or Labor?

I appreciate the feedback Matt! My Gelcoat still looks good and I wax it with Flagship premium twice a season at least. I do have to get out the polishing wheel before I store it from the short season's UV rays. I can get the depth of the black to show deeper with paint and that's what I'm looking f...

Paint or Labor?

Okay, so I've been painting and repairing cars and trucks my entire life and have a question: Should I paint the hullsides on my 282? I'm asking because I love the way clearcoat Imron shines on the water and the upkeep is much less intensive. Thinking about doing this over the winter, the boat looks...

Big Block Power wrote: Wed Sep 26, 2018 6:49 pm Well mine still has the antifreeze in it come spring time. I would say through the muffs. But again I pay for mine to get done.
Agree with BBP.

I use muffs, and leave the antifreeze in. We see -30 Temps on occasion (garage doesn't get that cold) and want the lowest temp RV antifreeze I can find.

Re: Hard Top Clearance on R35 / 336

My mistake, I thought you were concerned with the height of the R35/A36 hardtop. That material is like a seadek type matting. Similar to the aquamarine decking and whatever company Cobalt uses on their platforms. My R7 has the factory used matting on the rear platform and dont have issues at all it...

Re: Hard Top Clearance on R35 / 336

Dont get me wrong i obviously love cobalts....but that formula is probably worth a hard look. I kinda like their layout a bit more and in truth formula is a top notch boat. I agree, I do like the cockpit layout and the fabrics and build quality are great. However, I had some reservations about the ...

Re: Hard Top Clearance on R35 / 336

This is so cool to see all of the help on every size boat Cobalt makes from all of the members on here. Keep it up! Absolutely, this is great! Truthfully, I was rather discouraged after the experience in the Formula and this has lifted my spirits a lot about having a hardtop to enclose. We shall se...
