What's the deal towing a boat across the line? Any special procedure to prevent issues with that? We have a Canada office I can get work to foot the travel bill :D

Re: Boat Show Season

Congratulations man. Beautiful boat. You will be thrilled. For a bowrider under 30 feet there isn't another brand that comes close in terms of fit and finish and quality.

We will expect lots of pictures once you get it running this summer.

Re: Boat Show Season

Their pricing is very competitive for a mid tier CC company and as BB said electronics and trailer and add one that come from the dealer are for negotiation. This practice is not uncommon. Plenty of brands do it. Under Armour and Dyson are a couple that come to mind. Granted you're not paying $60K f...

Re: New Cobalt Boat for sale - CS1 21'

We have a lot of slalom so picking up dropped skis and also the ease of my older parents to step over the gunwale from the dock. It wouldn't be make or break either way.

New 2017 CS1

http://www.cobaltboats.com/our_boats/CS1/index.php#.WJyTQIY8LYU The lines are really nice and now you have the option of the single or double walk through. I actually prefer the lower freeboard, if you're not in big water it makes it easier to pull skis and things in from the water it's also just ki...

Re: Boat Show Season

I like the Robalo no haggle model. They offer a price and that's it. No wiggle room. If your dealer installs electronics you can work on that but the boat is take it or leave it. Their prices are very fair I feel so it's nice to not have to walk out wondering if you got a good deal or not.

Re: Outboard resurgence.

Fishability is a different discussion in which case I would agree the CC is much more utilitarian but seaworthiness is a different conversation.

Re: Outboard resurgence.

I think it's a kool aid thing. At this point everybody just believes in the CC. John and I are on another board where everyone owns CC boats. If anybody mentions a bowrider they will be told they aren't seaworthy. But an R3 has a 21 deadrise and more freeboard than a lot of their CC boats lol while ...

Re: Cobalt 302 Swim Platform Retrofit

Don't let it scare you off. It's because all of their boats are custom and specs change year to year so they try to reserve the custom parts for those who have bought it most recently. Their customer service will help as much as they possibly can to help you get the part whether that be tell you the...
