No judging. Curious why you didn’t do the whole thing?

Re: 1985 19-BR wood rot
That’s a fair POV. I would not trash this or part it out. If I were to walk away, I’d put it back together and find a good home for it somewhere in the country with someone that has the time and motor skills to do something cool with it. I’m leaning towards dropping in a rebuilt motor, we’ll see wh...

Re: 1985 19-BR wood rot
That floor does look great. I will look up COZ interiors, thanks for the referral. On a less positive note, mechanic has confirmed that the oil has water in it after a test run. I’m now on the look out for a rebuilt long block. That, or I may need to cut my losses. Sorry to hear about water in the ...

Re: 1985 19-BR wood rot
There is sooo much teak trim on these things. I keep on finding more that needs to be cleaned/oiled but it's almost all done except for the dash. I've struck out in finding an in budget upholsterer. The one shop that would give me an actual number and could do it this year, quoted "Starting at...

Re: First Cobalt - 1976 19' CD
We live on Breton Bay in St Mary's County, MD. Kayaking is nice but tiring at our ages. So, we picked up a 1976 Cobalt 19' CD. Lived in fresh water all its life until we moved it to here from NC. Ford 235hp w/ OMC outrdive (400 hours on the engine). Had some fixing done and the bottom painted, of c...

Re: Applying emblem letters
They go on new with a jig. I’ve done it with and without a jig. Take a piece of cardboard and cut a rectangle that fits around the cobalt logo. Place the cardboard around the logo. Take a piece of paper and a #2 pencil. Place the paper on top of the cardboard/logo, hold the pencil flat and color ove...

Re: New member 21br pre-purchase question.
I live in Nashville. Was going to need to have it shipped out. Once I factored that cost of that and the $1400 quote I got to repair the damage it didn’t make sense unless I was in love. I wasn’t. It was for sale for almost 3 months. He was asking top dollar for it which may explain why it took so ...

Re: New member 21br pre-purchase question.
Decided to walk away again today. Something just feels wrong about it. Could just be a false gut feeling but couldn't ignore it. The hunt continues. Thanks to all for the helpful advice and expertise. If anyone sees something pop up for sale please let me know! Can you tell me where to find this bo...

A look of what the factory tower looked like. Surely Samson could make this happen.
