Re: Seadek, aqua marine competitors

Theres a company in BC, Canada that does great stuff. Its called Ultra Deck, used them for our 222 and very happy. They will do the logo. Bonus is the exchange rate is like a discount and they shipped to us in Alabama no problem. www.ultradeck.ca

Re: Blown Motor VP 380

If it made holes both sides of block it is usually a rod wanting to come out and say hi! lol Dropped a valve no doubt and smashed the piston, then broke the rod off but crank was still turning...been there done that, albeit never in a boat. That R5 may very well be the best thing I've ever seen! My ...

Re: Captains Call pricing... what’s a reasonable range?

I contacted Corsa directly and the price for my 2008 222 with a 6.2 was $2150 shipped. They use 3M 4200 sealant on the exposed core of the boat after drilling the holes to seal it back up. The sales guy sent me all the diagrams with measurements and instructions, I'm going to do it myself. I don't ...

Re: Discoloring

Awesome! I'm looking to buy on the lake but for now commute up from Hueytown. Keep the boat at Duskin Point Marina. Maybe we'll cross paths some day!

Cobalt dealers can order them now for late model boats. Check them out on the Cobalt website under the "Owner" tab at top of page and scroll down to Latest Innovations.

Re: First fill up

As it was the first fill up I wasn't sure how much it would take and showed about 1/2 a tank on the gauge. I was keeping an eye on it myself but i had just turned around to pick up my wallet and of course that's when it kicked off. The rag is a good idea and I will keep one handy myself and request ...

First fill up

Having a great time with our new to us '08 Cobalt 222! Filled it up for the first time and the young man at the marina set the pump on low and walked away to help another customer. As it approached full it gave a pretty good burp and spilled fuel down the side of my freshly waxed boat. Is this norma...

Re: Opinions please?

I just purchased an '08 222 with a 6.2! First Cobalt and I am in love :) I have grey carpets that the previous owner would remove every use and hang to dry, I think the frequent in/out put some extra stress on them and the black backing is disintegrating. I am sold on Seadek for the swim deck and wa...
