Re: 2000 246 Fuel Tank Access
Not a 2000 246 but close (below). Suggest if you do find it, get yourself ready for 20+ year old screws. Some power tools come to mind, but first make sure you get a quality (tools) screw driver (small?) and take the time to clean those screw heads with a solvent and a razor knife and don't forget t...

Re: 2007 220 Gas Tank Access
Canterbury - good job. BTW never pull a old rubber hose directly off. Always try, after taking the clamps off, to rotate the hose "On the fitting" 90 degrees (up and down) or so (pliers) to break the clamp seal before trying to prying off the hose. And if your traveling for the boat, alway...

Re: 2007 220 Gas Tank Access
Yes and under a STBD access panel with 3 or 4 screws ( don't remember) and don't strip the screws...1/4 turn readjust, 1/4 turn readjust......and on a 220 you can't see what turning because your outstretched right arm is in the way. You also need to take a decorative carpeted bullhead panel off (220...

Re: 2007 220 Gas Tank Access
Attached . Should be first fitting leaving the tank. If your a brave soul and you have room you can change the filter on the bottom of the sending unit. Suggest you also change the round cylindrical filter up stream of the anti-siphon - change that too. When you get it running pour the contents of t...

Re: Bilge pump blues
Not familiar with a 240 but please note any height restrictions of the pump. Meaning, don't buy a high performance pump that won't fit under the oil pan. Yes, I did that. I have BP thread here someplace with images but it's a 220. good luck

Re: docking light cover removal
If I remember its just a face plate and then once the face plate is off then there is a opportunity to take the whole light assembly out. You have to remove some covering inside the boat also. However. suggest you replace the halogen bulb with a halogen bulb because it a halogen fixture. Halogen fix...

Whats interesting about the the owners manual john provided is the wiring or plumbing schematics (plans) on the last few pages of each manual. Suggest you look at them if you own this vintage boat.

Re: Where is the fuse panel on 2003 Cobalt 220?
There is no fuse panel. The fuses for the boat are pop out (white) fuses on the helm. There are engine fuses, and equipment items, like stereos have there on in-line fuse. The navigation light, I bet, is corroded and you need a new one. Speakers need to be replaced. You need to realize you own a 20 ...

Re: Bent bimini top connector
Contact a business in your area that does boat covers. or try searching Bimini top parts. I destroyed two bimini tops because of a low bridge. That bridge has since been been replaced.

Re: Bravo 3 slow to engage
Sorry - new 20 year boat? Three time around the lake then pull that sucker out and it goes right to a knowledgeable mechanic for $3--4K baseline work (Cables, Gimble, tune-up, fuel rail test, impeller, risers,prop,battery/ACR, bilge switch etc). If not; you'll be posting here again real soon, and th...

Re: 1978 19’ BR on eBay - Project or Parts?
How true, My (new to me) boat had original bias-ply tires and two of the 4 tires blew-out on RT95 (opposite sites) as I was towing it home. Did 60 miles doing 35-40 in the breakdown lane on two tires. Oh I remember that. No Cops.

Re: 1978 19’ BR on eBay - Project or Parts?
Project, not sure how much demand their is 78 parts. Need to see the stern S/N. As you know mechanical things can be replaced with time/dollars. My concern is a failed (soft) deck, engine mount, unseen (transom) hull cracks, etc. ... "some deterioration"
