Re: OEM Table Alternative - Cutting Board??

Nice work, guys!

What's the wood Cobalt uses on the dash - Makassar ebony? I could see being extra fancy and trying to match that some day, but for some reason exotic tropical hardwoods aren't getting cheaper.

Re: New R8 Trailer

Are you saying you're trying to sell a trailer? Is it for a 2022 R8? They didn't make the R8 in 2002. Pics would be great, and since Cobalt doesn't make or specify trailers, the brand and model of the trailer will help with a sale as well. If you have a ballpark price, that will be a buyer's next qu...

Re: Stainless ladder considerations and anti-corrosion treatments

If it's going to be submerged in salt water for days at a time, I don't think I'd go with anything that's 304 stainless. I'm sure an anti-corrosion spray would help some, but it's still putting band-aids on a wound that will never heal. Do you have a link to the ladder? Someone here may know of an a...

Re: Cleaning products

I'll add that the 303 mold and mildew cleaner + blocker is a great thing to have on hand. It's hard getting mold/mildew out of vinyl, but this does as well as anything I've seen.

Re: 1998 Cobalt 220 wiring schematic

Cobalt is usually happy to provide one if you reach out, but I don't know of any that have been posted here yet. Boats that old didn't have basic schematics in the owner's manuals either, so the manual on the Cobalt website isn't likely to help you much. If you have a specific question, someone here...

You'll get $50k for that, no problem, once weather warms up and people start spending time on the lake. I wouldn't come down until at least July if I were you. Best of luck with your sale!

Test post with Amazon link to 303 Marine spray

Edit - it does seem to work on the mobile app, but not on the web page on mobile. I had to manually copy the short link to get it to work via the web page on mobile.

That's a long wheelbase, too, which makes for smooth towing. Looks like you're all set to move up to an R30 ;)

Re: Red fluid in the blige! NOT COOLANT!!

Can you tell if it's sweet like coolant or stinky like hydraulic fluid? Hard to guess, but the fact that there's red fluid squirting from your hydraulic cylinder makes me want to think it's leaked out over time and collected, coloring whatever else is in the bilge.

Re: New to me 2023 CS22 and First time boat owner

Welcome to the forum, Seabalt! I wouldn't worry much about the duoprop. You do get a bit better "bite" on the water, but I suspect you won't miss it in a CS22. If it makes you feel any better, I have a V8-225 on my 21' Cobalt, and have never wished for more top-end horsepower. I just don't...

Re: Hello from ARGO 2004 Cobalt 360

Welcome Argo! Nice boat - it would be fun to see some photos of the inside as well. Sorry if you were in new-member limbo for a bit - we had a problem with verification emails going out that has hopefully been permanently resolved. We used to use Gmail, but they kept changing security for remote app...

I wonder how much of the change in Naples will revert once boomers are gone and there aren't Gen X or Millenials or whatever behind them to buy all their real estate and other stuff. Could be interesting times.

Re: Finally got an R5 and have a couple of questions

It sounds like the high and low pressure pumps themselves are Carter pumps, and they can be swapped into the fuel pressure pump assembly fairly easily once you've removed paint from the interior surfaces. Of course this guy will do it all for you for $500 or so - https://mancavemechanic.com/
