Re: Mercury Mag 350 loses power
Thanks for the info on the coil. I'll replace the fuel filter, plugs etc. and check the fuel pressure.

Re: Mercury Mag 350 loses power
One last thing. If anyone has part numbers for plugs, wires, cap for a 2008 Mag 350 it would speed the process.

Re: Mercury Mag 350 loses power
I'll do the plugs, wires, etc., as you say it's time. The boat is 3 hours away so I'm trying to line up all the stuff I need. Since these don't have coil packs like a car where is the coil and should I replace it along with the other components. Any idea what fuel pressure I should expect? As for sc...

Mercury Mag 350 loses power
I have a 2008 220 I've owned for 3 years, with less than 400 hours. When at operating temperature it will intermittently lose power, rpm and speed will decrease. It does not seem to be missing but difficult to tell. I was going to do plugs, cap, fuel filter, etc. just because its time. It would seem...

Re: Engine hatch supports
Got good feedback on this. Our boat is on Grand Lake in Oklahoma, I'm in Kansas so it took a while before I got things sorted out. The lift supports were the correct ones, 130 lbs and all. It was a quick easy on and off installation so I can recommend LiftSupportsDepot.

Re: Engine hatch supports
I finally got someone that knows the application and could help me with correct compression spring replacement. I contacted a seller on Ebay and gave him the application and what was on the boat currently. He did not have it but suggested I contact Attwood (maker of SpringLift). I was on perpetual h...

Re: Engine hatch supports
I need to check my posts more often, I see this response was a while back. In fact the hatch won't stay up on it's own with two of these compression springs. I'm thinking I need to go with a lesser spring load, 70lbs seems to be a consensus. There are two holding up the hatch. If anyone has any reas...

Engine hatch supports
Greetings! I'm new to the forum. I bought a 2008 220 two years back, it had just over 200 hours and was very well maintained. My question is my engine hatch will not stay up and I believe it is possible to be cut in half if it falls on you-very heavy. I found a chat with owners of an '05 with the sa...
