Re: Purchasing Discounts

I dont get it, isnt bottom paint something needed Bottom paint is only put on boats that are left in the water all season. As in wet slipped. If you are putting it on a trailer or loading it up on a lift you do not need bottom paint. 90% of freshwater boats under 40ft do not have bottom paint. He i...

Re: Purchasing Discounts

If you are comfortable with the deal then I think that is all that matters. Just remember though once they scrape up that hull and put bottom paint on it. 70% of the market will not want it. Bottom paint on a 25ft boat is a turn off to the majority of the boating population. I dont get it, isnt bot...

Make another phone call and explain 25% off is what you can write the check for.. 120,500.00, and you will be in today to buy it.
You can thank me later.

Re: Purchasing Discounts

I'm wondering what type of discounts I should be getting on a 2020 R5. Retail for the boat is $160.689, right off the bat the dealer gave me a price of $135,937 & an additional $1500 off for the End of Summer Cobalt sale. Should I be asking for more off? If so how much? They are also including ...

Re: Purchasing Discounts

I just got a bulk mailing from my local dealer (that has no competition) offering up to 27% on in stock boats (see below). You must be steadfast if you want to save money. You must be willing to “lose your dream boat”. It takes serious discipline, some skill, and patience, but the deals are out the...

Colors fading ?

Do some colors really fade? Like red, black or navy?
Should the bottom hill be left white for the same reason?

Re: Arch

This can be folded? https://cobaltboats.com/bab/web/assets/img/colors/arch_stainlesssteel_aluminum_sunshade.png IMO the most attractive arch. That particular arch option transforms the look of the boat. Just looks and flows perfect and I would have bought it in a heart beat if that design folded. U...

Re: Arch

Coming from a boat that just had a large Bimini... Pros: Depending on where you store your boat, leave it and the Bimini up all the time, or at least during your entire boating season. Permanent stern light. Nice structure to grab for support and to manipulate boat at dock. High point for pulling w...

. Hello smashboat. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us! Hopefully your username doesn’t reflect a past incident? I know bigblockpower may have earned that moniker at one time with his arch-garage meet-ups. Storage and weight are the big drawbacks (other than cost) but I thin...

I keep hearing that the R5 is not as good as an outboard for the ocean. WHy?

Re: Purchasing Discounts

The dealer I worked with took 25% off without question. That was on my 220, but he was willing to make the same deal on any model. Thank you! The more confirmation I get the more confident I am in asking for more off Maybe because I've been in business my entire life and make buys every day, but I ...
