Re: Perhaps a Cobaltian

NiCad, welcome to the forum. I'm on my second season with my 226, and so far quite happy with it. What options/power plant does she have?

Also, I restored a 2002 many years ago. Sorry to have let that car go :(

Cobalt Air Compressors

I have the optional air compressor in my 226- it is almost slower than using my breath to pump up tubes for my kids. The thing is a piece of junk- not sure what Cobalt was thinking with this option. Has anyone switched theirs out or have any suggestions besides removing and buying a portable one? Th...

Ballvice, if you can get the serial number on the engine- call the dealer, it's on the flame arrester or call Cobalt with the VIN you should be to find out block info through the Volvo website. Here's the link to find your engine, just input the serial number http://www.volvopenta.com/volvopenta/na/...

Re: New guy from Maryville, TN

Welcome to the forum- that's a nice boat you have. I have the little brother to your boat (226) with the same power package. Mine jumps up on plane without hesitation, little bow rise, and has been very reliable. I've topped out around 48MPH WOT at 6200' elevation spinning F4's- you should have bett...

Re: Trailer equipment

A quick towing rig question- does any else besides Two Burgers use the AirLift air bags? TB and others please give your input as I'm thinking of installing in my Toyota Landcruiser- towing rating at 6500 lbs. Big difference/little difference or what not? Thanks, Tom

Re: What upgrades have you done to your boat?

One item I need to replace is my broken hour meter. I had my engine scanned, so I know the hours- so now it is going run off my battery for the next several days to get it to the proper hours. :)

Re: Cobalt 25 SC

I spoke with the West Coast Cobalt Rep a couple of weeks ago at the Sacramento Boat show and he said the SC 23 And 30 are the next to be out fitted with OB's. I wonder what they will spec for the 30??

Ditto to Tuscany and BBP- run fast. Being you're from the Bay Area, I would suggest looking for a fresh water only model- Delta, Sac area lakes, or Tahoe. I ended up buying a Tahoe only boat last year that is extremely clean. I only had to do minor service and waxing to make it like new again.
