Re: Trailer equipment

A quick towing rig question- does any else besides Two Burgers use the AirLift air bags? TB and others please give your input as I'm thinking of installing in my Toyota Landcruiser- towing rating at 6500 lbs. Big difference/little difference or what not? Thanks, Tom

Re: What upgrades have you done to your boat?

One item I need to replace is my broken hour meter. I had my engine scanned, so I know the hours- so now it is going run off my battery for the next several days to get it to the proper hours. :)

Re: Cobalt 25 SC

I spoke with the West Coast Cobalt Rep a couple of weeks ago at the Sacramento Boat show and he said the SC 23 And 30 are the next to be out fitted with OB's. I wonder what they will spec for the 30??

Ditto to Tuscany and BBP- run fast. Being you're from the Bay Area, I would suggest looking for a fresh water only model- Delta, Sac area lakes, or Tahoe. I ended up buying a Tahoe only boat last year that is extremely clean. I only had to do minor service and waxing to make it like new again.

Re: New guy from Northern CA

Big Block and John, Thanks for the kind welcome. BB- yes the 226 jumps out pretty well with the F4's considering I'm boating at 6200' in Lake Tahoe, even with a full load. I'm able to reach about 48 MPH trimmed correctly at about WOT- smaller props cost me about 5-6MPH at altitude. Couldn't afford t...

New guy from Northern CA

Hi There, I just discovered this site- a lot of good info here! I recently purchased this past June, a 2001 226 with the Volvo Penta DP/5.7 GXI set up, propped for high altitude (F4's). The boat is in very clean condition- Tahoe only use, with low hours and runs well. It is currently in storage, so ...
