I keep searching but can't find the Cranking specs on my Boat.

I have a Volvo Penta 380 in my Cobalt R5 Surf boat.

Any thoughts on what the Cranking specs are so I can get he right size of battery

Great info guys thanks so much. I will go take a look at both Sam’s and Costco as I have access to both memberships. I forgot about charging the lithium with the alternator, I will steer clear from those now and take your advice you guys gave me.

I have a 17 Cobalt R5 Surf and it is time to change the batteries out. Who makes the best battery? Do I go lithium? What company’s should I stay away from.

We mostly boat at Norris Lake in Tenn and then return to the boat lift.

Update, It was a Bad Actuator, the dealer changed the bad Actuator and the light stopped flashing. I was told by the dealer this happens and to have one on hand if it happens again. Changing it out seems easy enough only hard part is disassembling the connector and reassembling it in the tight area ...

Does anyone know the part number or what actuator kit I need for the surf tab. Port side and the actuator closet to the engine. I was going to try and change it myself before get it over to the dealer.

Well was at the boat yesterday and took the fin off the actuators and moved the Manual trim tab with out hitting the surf button. One actuator moved and the Port inner actuator did not move. Looks like I have a bad actuator. Off to the shop next week to see if they can replace or if it is an easy DIY.

Call your dealer, when I purchased from the dealer they were not that expensive, and just installed with a few screws. much easier to use than the arch support.
