Re: WTB 2017 or newer R5

I can only resist so many offers. I've always said that everything is for sale at the right price. I guess the times are living in are going to test me. Problem is, we are near the right price. I'd sell my 2020 R5 (1 season, 50 hr) for 130K. It a strange time we live in. This will only be the 2nd bo...

Re: How to lower R series Arch

on my R7, yes you can lower it with the Bimini up. once down there is a metal latch near the pivot point that keeps it down. I believe the latch is on the starboard side of the boat. Correct. There is one on the R5 also. On the starboard side there is a latch. I could not lower the arch enough with...

Re: 24 sx steering issue

Update: Sorry so slow to get back to this. Replaced the steering cable, all 30 feet of it. An considering I am a six footer it was difficult squeezing into a few of the tight spaces. I then rebled the power steering system and now it is back to normal. Thank you for responding to this issue. I have...

Re: R5 replacement carpet/seadeck/marine mat floor template

Which manufacturer/installer dis you go with? And how did you get approval/permission to use the Cobalt "C" logo on your swim platform? Its SeaDek from Castaway Customs. They have agents all over the South East near bodies of water. We originally touched base with them at a boat show in N...

Re: R5 replacement carpet/seadeck/marine mat floor template

The installer removed the snaps and it was all stuck down. There was no sanding involved. (At least I'm pretty sure there wasn't as there was no residue anywhere and they did it in our garage)

Re: Thinking of converting from Surge to EOH

I ordered our trailer with the EoH and a swing tongue. The brake lines go through the swing. There wasn't a problem with that. I wonder if they don't have enough real estate on the tongue for the new coupler and the EoH controller without deleting the swing. That's a bit hard to swallow since it rea...

Re: R5 replacement carpet/seadeck/marine mat floor template

Yup, I'm a fan of the color also, just in the wrong order! We had seen a boat with the colors of yours at a boat show in Nashville, Our first order had them the same. Somewhere along the line the Admiral decided she liked the slate better and we had them reversed. I know enough to yield to her color...

Re: R5 replacement carpet/seadeck/marine mat floor template

We just had our R5 done about a week ago. They came down one week and measured with a scanner (sorta) went back, drew it out and emailed the proof. (we changed the logo between the scan and install) One bonus is that they get all the lines straight. I also found an access port I didn't know I had! W...

Re: Garmin's failing intermittently

I used 12VDC remotes (operated with a key fob) on the cockpit lights on a docked boat I had previously. Just mounted the remote on the power pedestal on the dock. Used to team up with the admiral and demonstrate to the partially inebriated people (most of our dock friends! :D ) about how we had wire...

Re: R5 Underwater light install

So I've studied this thread. I wanted underwater lights, even though our water is green and not very clear. Besides, there was a button on the dash for it, I'm gonna have to use it. So I did. I delved in this helpful thread and found the right connectors, and ordered them. I wasn't real keen on the ...
