I found a perfect fit at McMaster Carr I found it (again)! I bought these back in sept 2021 and have gone through 6 in that same time (just ordered another set). I tried golf grip tape but the glue was deactivated in water. Any other suggestions? Really only a problem when the ladder is left down.

No, but very straightforward to pull from the switch and battery grounds. Probably the easiest part of the project.

This is the factory sub location on an SC25.

I have an R5 and the HU is in the same general area. I confirmed with Dwight in Customer Service that the factory amp location was in front of the helm. Apparently the stereo controller sits behind the mid-stbd bulkhead. A 300w amp with a 15-16' run would produce minimal resistance with 8 gauge wire. At this point, we're only adding a single sub amp.

How did you unhinge the pad itself? The way it's designed I can see the whole thing sliding right off to the ground. Was 2 guys enough?
