Re: Looking for pics of a 246 with factory extended platform

I added a Cobalt extended platform to my 226 this Summer. This used the steel "shelf" plates underneath to support it.

Re: Gull Lake Chain of Lakes

Thanks for confirming! We towed the kids around and swam a bit, but stuck to Nisswa and Roy lakes today.

We plan to explore the entire chain tomorrow.

Gull Lake Chain of Lakes

Hi All,

We're staying on Lake Nisswa in the Brainerd Lakes area in Minnesota. Wondering if we can take our 226 all the way to Gull Lake.

Looks like the channel from Roy Lake to Spider Lake is pretty shallow.

Anyone have experience with this area?

Re: rattle after some engine work

I had the drive up the first time with the muffs. This is our second year boating, so I'm a little green.

We had it out on the lake today and it ran flawless, so I'll add this to the lesson's learned column.

Thanks for the feedback...

rattle after some engine work

Hi folks, We had some work done on our 2001 226 with a Mercruiser 6.2. It sat at the shop for a few weeks due to work schedule. Here's the work the shop performed: New manifolds (one had corrosion), spark plugs/tune up, impeller, took off lower unit and grease/align, changed fluids, belt. I brought ...

Re: 2000 206 Swim Platform Install

Looks good.

Wondering if you could post the width of your platform.

How did you decide where to mount it? Could it have been mounted higher or lower just by bending the brackets?

Re: Swim Platforms

I don't understand why it would be so difficult to source a swim platform from a dealer. While maybe not directly made for the older models, retrofitting seems fairly straightforward. Both a 1999 220 and a 2001 262 with newer Cobalt OEM swim platforms. I found a burned Cobalt going to auction. This ...

Hey Folks, I have a 2001 226 I bought last Spring. My wife and I were around boats a bit growing up, but no experience as adults. With three young kids at home, we took the plunge. I've struggled to contain the impulse to upgrade the boat, the trailer, or upgrade to a different boat. One thing that ...
