Most definitely a warranty issue. Have them fix it and enjoy that trim up and down on demand.

Re: Trim not responding on plane
Hey mnsalt.. Trimming up under power is the hardest work your hydraulic rams endure as you know. As the thrust is pulling the drive in. It appears your hydraulic pump is weak. . Hey buddy..good to hear from ya’. How’s life on the west coast? Yo buddy! Back at you! Everything is good as unpredictabl...

Re: California Delta Questions
We can team up! Haven acres is small but a interesting switch back slough ( twisted. ) Tiki lagoon is also managed by the same person. ( But Tiki has occasional music and lowest fuel prices. I think that’s as far down towards mossdale I’ve been. You can go west and catch the slough towards discovery...

Re: California Delta Questions
Hey buddy. The walnut grove lock. We done the Sacramento trip many times up through there. In our 282 with Bimini and didn’t have to lower it. I’m sure our 272 with tower will go. Spring when they first open the lock is iffy and trees are everywhere floating. July on is perfect. Yes the slou...

Re: Extremely Rich at Idle
Looking for some feedback on a VP engine performance on a non-Cobalt. i.e. VERY strong smell of unburned gas. It starts readily and performance is really good As idle can bring odors from fuel tank vents… lines.. leaking injectors etc. it’s best to have your friend take it in and have it inspected ...
Re: Delta
May I suggest off March lane exit and I-5 Ladds marina. You can launch easily and explore west and north. Windmill Cove 1 Ike in the left has great music. And going further in the main channel can open up places like Rusty porthole and classic Delta feel spots. The Riverboat had a recent fire but ha...

Re: 26SD VP380 top speed
I’m on lake Champlain in northern VT. Roughly 98’ elevation.. I suppose I’ll have the chance to opt for the F5 prop- struck an unmarked reef finger at about 3k rpm’s yesterday. Damaged lower unit, and bent inner prop. Very minor vibration following, but pulling to initiate the repair. Tail end of t...

Re: 26SD VP380 top speed
WOT is throttle is closer 52-5500 RPM- even at these RPMS I’m nowhere near 50mph. Not imperative that I’m running at this speed, Just trying to rule out and potential issues. Just seems at high rpm’s for the speed I’m getting The new Gen 4 tech that Volvo uses has a 6,000 rpm limiter. Crazy right a...

Re: 26SD VP380 top speed
1st season with 2015 26SD Has the 380HP VP DPS - from what I’ve read, top speed should creeping on 50mph.. At WOT roughly 5100rpms I’m barley into the low 40’s with half tank and 2 passengers I’m pushing 4K rpm’s to get 30mph! Has the F4 prop- unaware of current pitch etc. Possible prop/shaft/coupl...

Re: Prop Selection for Altitude
Thank you all for the replies, looks like I need a little more information. As for the WOT, I have not done that yet in this boat. I have gone up to 4500 rpm, does anyone know what the top end should be as well as is there a governor like a car? OSXI 5.7 DPS-B with 1.95 Gears and F5 Props Thanks fo...

Re: Trim tabs on CS23?
Hi All I have no experience and very little knowledge with trim tabs. That said, I do read about them on this site. We have a 2021 CS23 and it works great, but the seating is such that most passengers are on the port side and the boat seems to lean that way. Would trim tabs be an option for a CS23?...

Re: Prop Selection for Altitude
As my experience at Firebird raceway was a .3 tenth difference in Drag race index ET. .The altitude calculations will show your down 10-15% horsepower ( 300hp is now 260 ish) so a F4 would make sense if your finding the F5 sluggish . F3 for people and water sport. General rule of thumb is 3% power ...

Re: Prop Selection for Altitude
What is your Maximum RPM in the tachometer with the throttle all the way forward? ( see how I changed it up 🤣). In all seriousness your Elevation does play a major role , and Cobalt uses different outdrive gearing in the build for low and high elevation. This is done by the dealership when they orde...
