Re: Donated '87 23BR Classic Going for CHEAP

Damn! I would have jumped all over that thing. I guess I need to start watching ebay.. If it sold for a $1, I'd have to pay too much to keep it somewhere. LOL. I hear ya. I would be in a somewhat similar position. I'd have to clear some more land to make room for another boat but it's doable. :D

Re: 1984 Cobalt 19BR Bimini

Hey R3d.. I don't have any firsthand experience purchasing and installing a bimini yet but it's on my shopping list for next year. You might just have to look through the product reviews to see what people liked or didn't like. Keep us updated on the boat progress. Sounds like you've got a similar p...

Re: 1987 21 BR Project

I can't believe it's been a full year since I posted any updates! I haven't been able to use her much this year as she's been in the shop most of the summer waiting in line to have a full bellows service done. When inspecting the drive bellow this spring I noticed it was pretty weathered and figured...

Have you examined the shift cable to see if it needs adjustment?

Guess I'll share some about myself too.

Started off as a software developer but after 10 years of slinging code I made the transition into project management. I currently oversee several teams of developers for a Fortune 400 corporation.

I thought I read somewhere 260. How can I be sure?
Hey JAA.. Did you figure out which prop you were running? I don't have any performance data to share yet but I'm running a Mercury Vengeance 13-3/4" x 21p on my 5.7l Mercruiser/Alpha1.

Re: 1987 21 BR Project

Got the boat out on the water for the first time yesterday after work and she performed fabulously! It was only about a 15 minute trip to test things out, stopping periodically to check for leaks of any kind, etc. Talk about a big milestone! It's been a long year of demo, construction and mechanical...

Re: New 1987 21BR Owner

We need help locating the bilge pump. And should this size boat have two? Water was just pouring into the water ski compartment the first time we took it out. No obvious cracks in the hull, just a few dings. I am going to take more pictures today. Hey Smashore.. The bilge pump in mine is directly u...

Re: Beaver Lakers?

Beaver Lake area resident checking in! Outside of one day on the lake we've spent most of this summer hanging out at the Lost Bridge pool watching the lake action. We had a new baby a few weeks ago. Between mechanical issues and pregnancy related boat intolerance, we’ve not been out much at all. I ...

I trashed them over the winter. In hindsight I probably should have held on to them. Live and learn I guess.. :/

Unfortunately no. I hadn't been keeping an eye on the regatta dates.

Re: 1987 21 BR Project

Hey, what's up all. Hope everyone has had a great summer thus far. It's been slow progress as of late with work and family obligations but I managed to finished installing the carpet and am just about ready for the shakedown run to see how she performs. I can't say that I'm super thrilled with the w...
