Re: Dealer Problems
Whatever you decide to do with said dealer, I'd get it in writing that they will repair gelcoat at a later date and in a timely manner.

Where did you end up trading at? That dealership doesn't look familiar. Gorgeous R5. Please give us feedback in comparison to your previous 242.

Re: New 262 and Sourcing Capt Chairs?
Keep what you have seating wise, flooring would be Seadek or similar company, or you could go with seagrass woven vinyl. Outer armor would be my cover of choice. Let's see more pics of that 262!

Re: 262 Stereo aftermarket amp location
My 2006 272 has everything located right in front of the helm in a large storage area. Amps and 2-10" Subs are easy hidden in there and nice and dry. Are your subs vented to the main seating area, or only firing into the storage area? They are vented by ports in the wall of the helm. It's not ...

Re: Possibly Damage from Trailer
If you're using a slip of any sort, either restaurant or resort, I'd doubt check and make sure there is nothing barely under the waters surface. Ie: Heavy cables or dock bracing. Just a thought.

Re: Questions on buying an older 252
They were offered with either Bravo drive I believe. If it checks out visually and mechanically, I wouldn't be afraid of it. The 252 is a solid performer, I'd venture to say you'll see mid to upper 50s.

Newer, swim platform, and side entry gets my vote......everytime. my new boat doesn't have captain's call and I'm fine with it. Condition is everything in my opinion.

Re: Questions about 262s, 272s and 282s
I'd personally go with the 272 just based on the tower, swim platform and back seat. I have a 262 and love the center walk thru as it situates people to both sides of the boat. But when hanging out on the anchor, the rear seat on the 272 is much nicer than the 262 and 282. Just my .02... All 3 boat...
