I really do love this boat!

OK, so here's the end of the story. After buying an adapter, gear puller and penetrating oil to replace the old steering wheel it turned out all I needed was a Philips head screw driver, an allen wrench and less than 5 minutes. Go figure. The next project is to replace the instrument panels. Cheers.

I'm looking for the telescoping nav light for my 2001 C226. The pole and motor work fine but the fixture on top has been sheared off. If anyone has either the fixture or the pole with the fixture on it, I would love to buy it from you. Thanks.

I'm interested in your flag poles if you still have them.

As for inserting attachments, before you send your message, go to the preview/editor at the bottom of the message window and you will get an options tab and an attachments tab.

I have a motor and pole that work but the light fixture on top is broken/sheared off. If anyone has any ideas on how to get a light for the top, let me know. Thanks.

Thanks very much. I just bought an adapter that mates to a tapered shaft with a key way for $20 + shipping. I'm pretty sure it will work. My boat is stored in a dry stack 40 mins away or I would just remove the old wheel and look. I have to put it in the water to do the work so I'm trying to be sure...

I am replacing my steering wheel but may need an adapter. Anyone know if the steering shaft on a 2001 226 is splined or tapered and any other pertinent information? Thanks.

I'm a new owner of a 2001 Cobalt 223 with an electric telescoping Nav light. The telescope function is fine but the bulb and globe appear to have been sheared off at some point (see attchment). I'm trying to find a replacement but not sure where to look for parts/bulbs. Thanks.
