Re: Trailer Safety Before Use When Left at Public Ramp

Had someone steal my winch handle once. I now take that off and leave it in my SUV storage while boating or storing.

Sure stinks to try to unload and load your boat without it!

Re: What upgrades have you done to your boat?

Well, We are getting thru hull exhaust with Captain's call option installed as well as Bennett Trim tabs to help with balancing deep vee w/ folks on the boat. Please forgive the mess as we have not been able to clean up this new purchase yet. It will eventually be spotless after the install and we a...

Re: Welcome to the Forum

Since I don't do facebook, this forum came at a perfect time as the other site went full up social media. I guess I'm old school but can't thank you enough for starting this site. Cobalt owners are incredibly loyal to their brand and I also find them as one of the most knowledgeable boat owner's out...

Well thanks to all on the forum who reside in neighboring states for the warm welcome. Although, I think we need more Lake Erie boater's on this site. Such a gem in the summer. Let's see some more Lake Erie posts from anyone out there! 8-)

I must say, I'm floored at that shine Tuscany. Wow. :o :o :o

And actually, to the others who posted their shine pics--simply gorgeous! Please tell me your secret now that I went from a white hull 262 to a dark blue hull 263.

Hey Tuscany. Great to hear from you. ....and congrats on that brand new R7! I normally keep my boat on the trailer at North East Marina which is right on the border of NY. It is also the closest distance to Long Point Canada where there are white sand protected beaches accessible by boat alone. (sm...

Re: Hellooooo Cobalt peeps....anyone with a 262 or 263?

No cobalt 220 is not a fast hull. I was hoping for mid 60's. She hits a wall at 57. But it gets there real quick. I might throw on a Set of f7 props to see what those will do. I don't think the hole shot will go down much. This engine has plenty of grunt to get her going. I think I'll get her to 60...

Oh man big block. Your prop story reminds me of my summer from "hell" in 2008. Massive prop strike on rebar and rocks while towing the kids. Had to replace both at about $1,000 a piece. Fortunately Lake Eire is incredibly high now 9 years later in 2017. Hope you can get the props you need.

I gave Colin a good tip from a guy in Texas but I don't think he's by Vegas. Love the boat. I had a Donzi Z20. Loved that one. One of my favs. Next big jump will be a Z28 o...

Big Block You're my kinda boater brother! Your pics are fabulous and passing this craft on to your kids is priceless. Gotta love the competition of family members while wake boarding and knee boarding. Gets them to step out of their comfort zone. Also love all the mods you have done to your boat. Ju...

Sounds like these may be unicorns. I'm also searching for the aft cushion and aft upright filler cushion. Here is a pic of the upright one on our sold 262. Wish I would have kept them. Now I need them for my 263. If anyone has them, please PM me. Will be happy to pay your price plus shipping. You wi...
