Re: 263 trim motor
Sorry - probably should have put more details about what it is. 1989 263 Condurre. Has the dual 350 Volvo Penta with DP-A outdrives.

263 trim motor
I'm coming close to finishing my 263 project. Only like 2 years behind schedule, but trying to do stuff right. Sunday I got both of the rebuilt outdrives put back on, and finally started both motors and verified water flow, smooth shifting and no overheating. Super excited! First time in two y...

Re: 263 Oxidation Progress
Its a cutting compound I'm using. Didn't do any wet sanding - there were some that said you could do these products without a wet sand. I've been spending about 1 hour on 4-5 feet of boat and doing it over several afternoons after work. There is a second finer compound I'll do next - hoping it is wo...

Re: 263 Oxidation Progress
I've not not anything with the lower white. I did do the small white strip just above the blue. But haven't started above the rail yet. Will do that as well with the same process... When I look at it - I can see the white areas I've done vs not yet done. Very impressive stuff. Using "Smoove&quo...

263 Oxidation Progress
So - putting her in the water has been a little longer than anticipated - but I'm on pace for this summer. One of the last steps was that I had a severe oxidation problem to deal with. The previous owner let her sit for almost 2 years in the California desert and bake. Here's some before and after p...

Re: 263 grey water
Last year when I started this project, I was going to just have both of the motors pulled and gone through... while they were out, the plan was the get it really clean. Turns out the motors run great and I didn't need to do that. But I regret not being able to clean it well... Was going spray it dow...

Re: 263 grey water
This isn’t the black toilet tank. This is water from the hand sink in the bathroom. Water from sinks is not considered sewage like the toilet. It’s literally no different than putting your hands in the water along side the boat and washing them.

Re: 263 grey water
Well just in case someone else is looking for the answer I figured it out. There is a small plastic container under the floor of the bathroom. All of the sinks and shower drain into it. Inside there is a pump and float switch that pumps the grey water overboard when it begins to fill. The severed wi...

263 grey water
Back after a winter break from boat work. Getting ready to close up and hopefully get this longer than expected project in the water! Lol. Anyhow. Anyone know how the grey water system works in these boats? 1990 263. Seems like the hoses run under the head but there isn’t much access to that area to...

Re: 1987 Cobalt Captain dash
What model is that? Do you have a close up of the dash? Looks similar to my 263 dash. Might get you in the right direction.

263 Fresh Water Tank
Hello, back again after a winter of little progress on my 1990 263 restore. While working through the 12v systems, i discovered the water pump is bad for the fresh water. Previous owner said it had sat for 2 years without use. However, what came out of the water pump was horrible. I have an 5th whee...

Re: 263 Cuddy cabin table
I just posted regarding a 263 cabin table as well... Wondering how different the one you were referencing here is to mine... I have a 1989 that the table appears to be missing something. Only sits in the stowed position with a cushion on top. Cushion removed and can't figure out how to set it up as ...
