Re: Approximate Tongue Weight of R6

On my R5 my tongue weight is 600# with an estimated total of 6500#. Boats tend to have lower tongue weights than travel trailers because the axles are closer to the rear of the trailer to account for the fact that you have the heavy weight of the engine back there. Because of that axle placement, th...

Re: 2018 R3 NMEA 2000 connector location

Thanks for the reply. I have a 5.7L 300 HP volvo penta with the GPSMAP 7607 Glass Captain. I have had difficulty with an accurate fuel level reading even after calibration of the 7607. After posting I was able to get into the NMEA2000 by tying into the transducer and the system now wees the GFS10. ...

Re: 2018 R3 NMEA 2000 connector location

Hoping someone can help me locate the NMEA 2000 location in the engine compartment. I am trying to install a Garmin GFS 10 fuel sensor. Thanks. You won't likely find one in there. It's CAN bus up to the dash where there is a gateway to NMEA 2000, Out of curiosity, why are you installing a fuel sens...

Re: Cobalt Mooring cover

I have both type of covers and they all work well. We use our mooring cover when we trailer our boat or when it’s stored on the trailer short term. The cover attaches well and is secure for trailering with ratchet straps. It does take a little longer to put on than the snap on bow and cockpit cover...

Re: Arc electric wake boat

We had a condo on the water in King’s Beach from 2006-2018 and had a buoy field and a 85 yard long pier that the 31 owners shared. We have lots of great memories with family and friends spending summers and winters at Tahoe. I miss frequenting the mountains and that lake. I love Lake Tahoe. I have ...

Re: Cobalt Mooring cover

I prefer mooring cover over snap in covers. It also completely covers the swim step to protect it if it has a covering on it.

Re: 25sc Garmin Update?

Those displays look smaller and smaller to me each year. I was hoping someone did a mod that I could copy. Who knows maybe an R8 is in my future Problem with the units you have is that they are a discontinued model. I have the same ones. One on my boat no longer can talk on the NMEA2000 bus and the...

Re: Arc electric wake boat

Electrify American charges about 48 cents/kwh nationwide, and I'm sure it's more like 60 cents in California. I have a house in Lake Tahoe in California. My electricity cost is $0.28/KWH. Not sure what it is around the lake though. If it's PG&E it's running around $0.40/KWH EDIT: Looking at PG&...

My R5 has a small LED light on the tower that comes on when the interior lights come on. Does your boat have that?

Re: Arc electric wake boat

There are electric Nautique wake boats at the North end of Tahoe. Can do around an hour of wake surfing with it before you need to go back in and charge. That's about how long we go out on our friend's wakesurf boat.

They have fast chargers at this dealers dock.

Re: Suggestion on trim tabs for 2005 282

I'm looking to add trim tabs to my 2005 282 the 2024 season. What are the recommendations brand/size and electric vs hydraulic? It seems the job to install is pretty straight forward, however, the whole purposely putting a hole in the boat thing....gives me pause! That big sterndive thing on ...
