Re: Gel coat cracks

Love your boat, but I am biased as I have the 2014 A28. Zero gel cracks. The craftsmanship on this boat is excellent, and if you continue to take care of it (like the previous owner) it will Continue to perform beautifully. Enjoy!

Re: New to Cobalt and boating

Wow. I am not familiar with the Condurre- it has a fabulous, sleek look. 454hp is a ton of power for this boat - it must rock. Hope you enjoy it -and welcome to the cobalt family.

2016 Cobalt A-28 for sale

I purchased my A-28 from this marina in North Carolina and had it transported up to New England. The broker, Colin, works at the marina, is very knowledgeable, and a straight shooter. Like the boat I purchased, this boat is stored indoors during the winter and has never seen salt water. https://www....

Re: Battery Charger

Bb One consideration is where to place the plug. Mine faces outward on the Stern, and is exposed to waves coming up over my boat when docked -as I don’t use a lift. Makes me nervous, So I brought the line back into the engine area where it is sure to remain dry. Not a big deal - as I only connect to...

Loose Bimini frame

This boat is new to me - and the tower is complicated. Currently the frame of the binimi (forward one) comes up out of the gunwale at higher speeds (more drag) and it seems to be held on by a screw. The Bimini has an electric motor to lift and lower it. I tried to open up the side of the boat to ins...

Re: Am I asking to much?

Lots of good points made above. I would add one additional thought:the economic conditions we are experiencing now may not revert back to “normal“. We have had a decade’s worth of social and economic change crammed into the past year. When Europe moved to taking five weeks of vacation (-and basicall...

Re: Hydraulic platform issue and easy fix

I just replaced one of my batteries this weekend. For my boat, The battery on the starboard side is the house battery, with the crank battery on the port side. I wasn’t sure which battery was house, so I pulled the negative cable off the battery to test.

Re: 2014-2018 R3, R5, 24SD or 26SD

Hey Randy, I spent the winter and early spring looking for boats too. I found that anything decent sold quickly. The first one I bid on was sold before I could get in a deposit. So when I finally found a boat, I put a deposit down on it immediately. The seller had two other people willing to show up...

Re: day of delivery issue

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your boat. Pretty stressful to have a pump burn on the day you’re picking up your boat, but that does not mean you have a poor engine. As you know, Unlike the 14 major auto companies making a zillion different engines, there are basically only two stern drive man...
