Re: 2020 Cobalt SC25 Bowrider - 100 Hour Review, Observations & Ratings

I have a 2019 25SC in cape coral. Issues to date: Front option jump seats fall out when running - waiting on a response Lamination loose in cockpit floor. Sounds like sticky floor. - waiting for a response. Dealer recommended sending boat back to cobalt! Ugh! Broken bushings on swim step - parts or...

Re: 2020 Cobalt SC25 Bowrider - 100 Hour Review, Observations & Ratings

@Marco I just had the dealer work on it. They made the two drain holes a bit larger and put another in the middle. Didn't have it back long enough to see how its gonna work, boat is away for winter, will report back in spring. I like the 30SC with the outboards personally. But you couldn't go wrong ...

Re: New to us 2019 25SC

Welcome to the Cobalt family. I too have a 25SC new in '21. We love the boat. For what we do - mostly anchor, float, eat and drink, and the occasional water sports, it's perfect. You can find us on the Metedeconk, F Cove, B-2 Bistro in Bayville, Cattus Island and mostly off Herring Island by Bay Hea...

Re: 2020 Cobalt SC25 Bowrider - 100 Hour Review, Observations & Ratings

@marco4ever did you ever fix the rear seat water draining issue? I noticed I have the same problem. When you open/close the rear seat/sunpad area you can hear the water sloshing around. There are two very small drain holes on the bottom, toward the bow but they drain into the boat - and they don't w...

Re: 2020 Cobalt SC25 Bowrider - 100 Hour Review, Observations & Ratings

@marco4ever - what did you end up doing with the rear seat holding water and not draining? I've noticed mine is doing the same thing. When you open and close it you can hear the water sloshing around. I noticed there are two very small "drain" holes in the forward most corners of the rear ...

Re: R5 Swim Step Knob Issue

I'm on my third one in three years. I don't think they break, they seem to unseat or unscrew themselves. Last summer I simply did without and had no issues. Got another one coming from the dealer, who also recommended putting locktite on it. If this one falls off, I'll be out of warranty and will go...

Re: 25SC discontinued?

Hopefully keep it up! I love my boat. It's a bit of a niche design, but for my needs, it's perfect.

25SC discontinued?

Friends, the Cobalt site no longer shows my boat, the 25SC as an available model. Can anyone confirm this model has been discontinued?

Re: 2023 Cobalt R6 Surf - Issues

I too had a list of issues with my 2021 25SC in the first year. Dealer fixed them and year two was successful, although I am still waiting on the swim-step latch - it was replaced and then fell off during my first run. Dealer will replace again - and this time put a drop of Locktite on the nut. By r...

Change fluids before winterization???

Hello Cobalt friends, My dealer recommends changing all the fluids etc before winter storage, whereas my marina said you can wait till spring since the boat is only 2 years old with 80 hours. Oil was changed last year at 50 hours before winter storage (at dealership). Will be storing at marina this ...

@krobb114 yes, flag poles are aftermarket. Amazon, seller/brand Marine City, stainless steel 21 inch flag pole. Got two of them, very happy with purchase. About $50 each.

Weekend fun pics

Hi all! I haven't posted in a while but we've been enjoying the 25SC fully in it's second year. Still less than 50 hrs on the meter. We found a new spot at the head of the Metedeconk River, on the east side of Herring Island. Great place to anchor in 2ft of water with great views of the Intracoastal...

Re: 2020 Cobalt SC25 Bowrider - 100 Hour Review, Observations & Ratings

@marco4ever I have the same boat, bought brand new last year. Similar options except for the motor, I went with the base 250 Merc. I had a few issues at delivery - blown power steering pump, bad fusable link (batteries wouldn't charge, low amps), vinyl on rear sunpad coming unglued, screws around wi...

Re: 2020 23SC Owner Review, the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Love your boat! I took delivery of my 25SC earlier this year and also had a few issues, a few of which were fixed by the dealer right after deliver (blown power steering pump, bad fuseable link) and the balance of the needs will be fixed now that the season here in NJ has come to an end. These inclu...
