Re: R8 Surf 1st Captain's Report
Our R6S has trim tabs. It is a pain not having indicators to use them. I thought we’d use them to further dial in the wave but we don’t, and i don’t think it’s necessary. We do use performance mode though and the boat planes great fully loaded/full ballast. Performance mode will shut off the fill/em...

Re: R4 surf water sports setup
Our R6 Surf makes a great wave. Unless your boat is full of people, fill all ballasts - it will give great push. We are generally empty in the bow so we go -5 degrees on the outdrive to help flatten the wave and find 10.8-11.5 mph is the best.

Re: Fuel Level at 0%
I keep a log of hours between fill ups and gallons it takes to fill because the gauge is totally inaccurate. I figure my avg gallons per hour and it is pretty consistent. Saw my gauge at zero and took 56 gallons. Just not sure how long it was at zero!

Re: First 30 days of new 2021 Cobalt R6 Surf ownership thoughts
I have a “light boat” and heavy boat setting. For 5 or more I fill rear tanks 35% and front tank 100%. Usually set at 11 mph. And -5 on the trim. We like to try and lengthen the wave and not make it too steep. Make sure surf left or right is selected. When you toggle between setting that will desele...

Re: Wakeboard With R6 & Rotating Bimini
You are doing it correct. The Velcro hole is just to help. If you rotate the shade you can loop the rope easily and I leave it attached and store the rope in the compartment o. The underside of the Bimini.

Re: 2022 R6 surf is finally here!
A couple questions for the R6/R8 Surf crowd 1) has anyone figured out how to get those neoprene speaker covers on the platinum sound speakers? I gave up but want them on to keep the spider webs out. 2) when we are surfing I turn on the camera but just about anything I touch on the screen turns it of...

Re: 2022 R6 surf is finally here!
So I have the R6 Surf with premium sound with tower speakers. I have the neoprene covers. Can’t figure how to get them on and secured. Anyone have some helpful hints?

Re: Joined the Cobalt Family - 2022 R8 Surf
Thanks that helps. What kind of range of PTA are you using. I was in the negative numbers to flatten a bit. Didn’t try over 11 mph. Those R8’s are nice!

Re: R6/8 Surf screen tabs option
Our new R6 Surf has trim tabs but they do not integrate on the screen. The switches for the trim tabs do not have any indicator lights to let you know how far engaged they are. I haven’t tried to use them while surfing. Has anyone received confirmation on whether they are disengaged while surfing?
