A25 Mooring Cover over winter

Does anyone have experience storing an a25 over winter with a mooring cover? Mine is a thinner material than my snap covers and I worry about condensation. I purchased a mooring cover from cobalt for my 2011 a25. I just checked it and it seems like there’s some condensation underneath that is just s...

Re: Considering a 2011 a25

I’m starting to get into foiling. Wish I had a huge wake from a surf boat, but loving the a25. I’m looking at skylock racks since they look more stable for foils. Does anyone have recommendations for a mount? Seems like the 3” tube is pretty large and the smaller tube is a bit close. I’d rather not ...

Re: Head unit replacement

1. What did you do with the 3” hole from the Sony remote? The fusion remotes all seem too small. I bought a fusion ms-ra770 for my 2011 a25 assuming the remote wasn’t wired. 2. How had was it to run a different wire for the remotes? My wife is demanding that we boat rather than me tinkering with the...

Re: Considering a 2011 a25

Boats still at Newport for the winter, but I’ve got a slip on a shared dock east of Luther Burbank. Feel free to hit me up this summer.

Re: Towing with a car?

I have a ford expedition and feel like none of us are experts. The gear ratio on my car is not updated for heavy duty towing (which I regret whenever I tow) and I know I am wearing out my transmission with way more stress when towing >4k pounds. I have a lift and 35” tires which makes it worse. Tow ...

Re: Towing with a car?

It worry about destroying the transmission or ending up as a boat ramp champ if you ever forget the e-brake. I wouldn’t do it.

One actuator failed and needed to be replaced. It’s still in the shop so I’ll share details once I get the final bill.

Re: Considering a 2011 a25

Why would someone want a $4k rack vs a $200 rack? I find it difficult to know why it would be so much better.

Re: Considering a 2011 a25

Thanks for the recommendations on the covers. Looks like the mooring cover is still supported so I have that on order first thing (8 weeks). Luckily I have all the service records and see that the stern drive was fully serviced a year ago without issue. I ended up just doing a compression and engine...

Re: Considering a 2011 a25

The boat is getting the swim platform fixed and a table installed. Here’s a photo of it on my lift from last week.

Re: Considering a 2011 a25

Looks like the swim platform is busted and needs to get fixed, but the hydraulics for the engine cover still work. Hope it’s an easy fix and the seller accepts a good offer. Any ideas how hard it is to get a winter mooring cover for one of these? Also, since the tower has two stainless steel pipes, ...
