Sorry you're having this problem. Please come back and let us know your remedies as I'm sure others will run in to this in the future.

@Izzybo69 - I’ll take them!

Do you happen to have any canvas / floor snaps? I could use several of them as well!

Re: Delayed light shut off with dimming feature!

Do your lights always have a delay? In other words, is there a always a 5 (or whatever) minute delay after turning off the lights? I would think this could be annoying if you're underway and want to immediately shut them off. Perhaps there's a way to arm/disarm the timer if the ignition is on, etc?

Re: R6 dash lights

Basically exactly how I've replaced mine now (several times). Only difference is I found it was easier to pull the panel completely out of the boat and work on it on the bench. You can reuse the foil tape if you're careful (or grab some at your local hardware). I'm guessing there are A LOT of these ...

Re: R6 dash lights

You would think my dealer would know this. I have an 2021 R5 and my dealer said they needed to replace the panel. They sent out for a new left panel only to find out that Cobalt sent the right panel instead. I waited 3 months for the first to finally come in now I have to wait another 3 months or m...

Re: R6 dash lights

The wire and inverter can be switched out separately from the panel (at least on the "odd" R's). I know this because I've replaced one side or the other five (!!!) times. I'm guessing Cobalt is still using the same supplier. I now work directly with the supplier because Cobalt doesn't seem...

Fire the Rockford! I know that’s not the input you’re looking for but I couldn’t resist. I really can’t stand that thing.

Otherwise, I like your ideas…..

Re: Dual glass cockpit question

BTW....totally worth the upgrade for you RF users. Pushing and holding the volume knob to get through different zones is a pain in the butt. This brings the zones up on the Garmin and makes it quick/easy to adjust for your guests.

Re: Dual glass cockpit question

Interesting that you only required a NMEA2K cable to connect the RF to the network. I am of the understanding that you also need an accessory (PMX-CAN) that takes the CAN interface and bridges it to NMEA2K. I have a R5 and the black box is under the floor between passenger seat and the head. Pretty...

Re: Dual glass cockpit question

1) I have the R7. The panels are similar in practice. However, yours has a few more capabilities and is slightly larger - including "OneHelm" 2) I went back in my notes and confirmed that I did have to put in a "T" connector. (see links below) 3) I can't speak to the new R's. The...

Re: Dual glass cockpit question

I was able to hook up my Rockford to the NMEA bus and the Garmins picked it up without anything special. I just had to buy a cable and run it from the head unit to the Garmins. I think that, because yours says Fusion on the media screen, that it may actually already be hooked up. Have a look at the ...

Re: Dual glass cockpit question

On my 18 R7S everything was controlled by manual controls. The RGB had a button to push and twist, the stereo had to be controlled by the head unit, the zero off was a separate control module, etc. All that is gone and everything is controlled via the glass making it much cleaner in my opinion. As ...
