Re: Let's see your Tow rigs with your boat!

2020 F150 3.5L handles our R5 perfectly. Have made pair of trips between VA and ME.

ISO: low pressure water fittings

I’m running out of ideas to identify and replace the parts from the picture. Taken from my 2014 R5, pics show 3/8” fitting leading from pump to our head. I want to install a “T” with similar fittings to add a transom shower. Tried: West Marine, Home Depot, local plumbing outlets, and even RV stores

Re: R5 Swim platform/Gator Step

I ended up going thru a local dealer for the Gator Step, because I wasn’t happy with the templates from another company (fit was inconsistent) and I didn’t want to create a template myself. So, I just approved the fit and the logo and paid for it, so I’m hoping the Gator Step will arrive at the dea...

Re: R5 Swim platform/Gator Step

Ok, so now that the new boat is purchased (https://www.cobaltchat.com/viewtopic.php?t=7426), here is what I am thinking. 1) Marine Mat for the swim deck and anchor locker (keep Seagrass in boat) 2) Sand the texture down with my sander focusing on the outer edges primarily, but if it’s going ‘smooth...

Re: R5 Swim platform/Gator Step

I placed GatorStep on my swim platform and boat floor. I cleaned it thoroughly with soap and water, then cleaned it with window cleaner with ammonia. Windex with ammonia worked well. Nothing else needs to be done before install. No sanding required. I installed it myself. GatorStep is a bit forgivi...

I actually tried that, called once and another time sent a request via website. I got no response.

ISO: Build sheet for 2015 336 (or R35)

Would someone mind posting the build sheet for a 2015 336? You can mark out any of your hull data. I’m looking at a boat without a bunch of specs and the broker isn’t being very forthcoming (either on purpose or isn’t very knowledgeable).

Re: Hard Top on 2016 R30

Looking at a 336 now, expensive upgrade just to deal with inclement weather but will solve the enclosure problem, extending our season and provide tremendous peace of mind.

Really enjoy this R5.

Re: Finally got an R5 and have a couple of questions

I have 2014 R5 with the VP 380. My fuel pump started whining this summer and I sent it to Troy the ManCaveMechanic who refurbished it for a fair price (~$700? See website). He did not find paint damage on mine, but had other issues. (Failing LP pump, clogged cooling port, float and damaged HP port w...

Re: Hard Top on 2016 R30

Dang, came here to find this thread. We have 2014 R5 and interested in having an enclosure built and mount to soft bimini on the arch. Shop worried that the near vertical drop from the soft bimini to the windshield would create too much pressure at speed and wouldn't warranty the work. They suggeste...

Re: Cost comparison using Gas Consumption

We're passing on the 323, the lack of windlass & bow seating is a big strike and to a lesser degree the soft top has become one. I think we're going to find a 336 to gauge the usability of a cuddy cabin. Apparently, the same hull & ride as the 323 which is very attractive. re: Naples, too ma...

Re: Cost comparison using Gas Consumption

"Windlass is a must have imho" That's an easy add. I did it. Look at the Lewmar V700. Did you have the windlass feed through the hull? I started looking at all the components needed to put this together (including helm control, digital counter if done right) and my eyes kind of glazed over.

Re: Cost comparison using Gas Consumption

Beautiful boat, wonderfully kept, pops up on plane without a second thought and surprisingly agile. Lack of windlass and looking at operational costs has me rethinking this whole destination premise. 3 hours at cruising speed to go from our marina down to the Chesapeake is about 50 gallons just to ...

Re: Cost comparison using Gas Consumption

There are LOTS of Formulas down here in Naples to drool over, including this one 150 yards from my boat slip. I’m sure you’re going to love that 323! Funny, hanging with my cousin in Naples after testing the 323 in Daytona Beach yesterday. Have family here, I just haven’t been down here in 10 years...
