Re: Retired Service Manager for a large Cobalt Dealer
Trent_boater In response to your question, it varies from model to model. Most cobalt will have a tow point on the back of the boat above the swim platform. That tow point IS acceptable for towing “tubes” or other towable’s. I know it is NOT recommended to tow “tubes” from the tower if that’s what ...

Re: Retired Service Manager for a large Cobalt Dealer
Perhaps you can answer the eternal question.....where should you tow a tube from on a Cobalt? And how? Everyone has a different opinion.

I have always been told by several manufacturers reps, the ski tow ring is for water skiing only. A tube creates way too much force and will rip that ring out of the boat.Big Block Power wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 7:44 pm Does your boat have the ski tow ring on the transom? Use that.

Well, I forgot to mention, I also bought that EXACT booster ball as well. Thanks! I am looking at this rig, and it says it is heavy duty, BUT, the coupling that goes from the pulley to line out to the tube is a piece of metal about 1/4 inch in diameter, and has a flat top in the metal of the pulley....

Re: My Brand New CS23 and Intro
I did discover that 6ft of chain between the anchor and the rope is helpful. I wonder why Cobalt doesn't just ship the boat like that to start with? I did buy a bigger Danforth anchor and stopped using the 28lb pound monster, which was not really working anyway. The start up is fine, no issues, and ...

Here are some additional pics. You can see us all in the big lock at Swift Rapids. You'd be amazed how fast that thing can fill and empty. And all done with gravity, no pumps needed!

That is a beautiful boat - love the powder blue! Envious of where you do your boating, there is a guy with a youtube channel "Boating with Boogaboo" He is on Lake Simcoe and takes trips all along the Tent severn Waterway. Lake Norman NC is big and beautiful, but nothing like what you have...

Greetings Gentlemen, I am super excited to announce the purchase of my first Cobalt, a brand new CS23 with the Volvo V8 in Bayside Blue.
