Re: Retired Service Manager for a large Cobalt Dealer

Automatic Bilge seems to be working fine. and I even ran it the other day when caught on the lake in a five minute downpour. But I agree 50lbs shouldn’t be sinking the swim platform. I think the recommendation came from having three adult kids with spouses and a couple grands thrown in and liking to...

Re: Three mystery beeps - what are they?

I can’t speak to 2017, but on the 2023 you turn the boat ignition one station to the right where you will hear the three beeps. In explanation, and as I understood it, that first turn of the key is basically readying the electronics of the engine. Truth is, all i know is that during the explainer I ...

Re: Retired Service Manager for a large Cobalt Dealer

A question. We just bought a CS22. A perfect little boat for our lake. In talking to the dealer and configuring the boat he recommended the V8 300hp dual prop. I have about 5 hours on this boat. It is a LOT of engine. But I know you never have to push a throttle although it can be a bit jumpy and wi...

Re: She’s here!! Our 2023 CS22!

According to dealer, it had less to do with speed and more to do with potential adult weight load and pulling a skier or a tube, but it doesn’t hurt that we can get down the lake to a bay with calm glass faster. Im not a putterer but not a speed demon either. Erred on the theory that you can always ...

Re: She’s here!! Our 2023 CS22!

TBH, I debated on the interior, but my H loved the retro look of the carmel/Carbon interior as a first crush - and even considered that as a name! But even I have to admit I do love that new bayside blue with the gray interior. We went out with dealer morning… lots of chop and chilly wind. I was qui...

Re: She’s here!! Our 2023 CS22!

We basically took dealer recs given wide range of potential use and the lake chop etc. V8 Penta Volvo 300 hp. Double battery thing. Then added the soft trac flooring and platform, docking lights, filler pads, buoy clips. Think that’s pretty much it as far as adds/upgrades.

Re: HOPEFULLY, the 4th time is the charm. Techie's barn find

SecondChanceWorkingLogo3.pngHere is logo 3 (wider white) and logo 4 (no gray). Help me pick one! Hi Techie, I was hoping you could share what your fonts are on these mock ups. Dying to know what you decided, if anything at all. But either way, this is an excellent blend IMO. And I’d love to borrow ...

Re: HOPEFULLY, the 4th time is the charm. Techie's barn find

@ryandmartin, Name has to go on next week as she is heading to ME next Saturday afternoon. Her first road trip. @Macarokks, thank you, they are pretty spiffy boats. In the 2.5 years I looked for a boat (and I mean looked hard, all over the country) I only saw 4 for sale. The crapshow one in the Adi...

Re: Gift from Cobalt

My mother told me to use the good china, wear the jewelry and yes, wrap yourself in the “good towels”
Very good advice.
Also… Id love to see a picture of this towel as logo sunshade idea.

Re: Need Help with Name Short List for New CS22

Yes to the bad luck. I fault that very superstition to the demise of an Ensign partnership. Never could agree on a name. We sold our share and pretty sure there is still no name. I love that 911 Font! Whole thing looks awesome. Is that a CS22? Just asking cause from photos, I can’t tell if it’s actu...

Re: Need Help with Name Short List for New CS22

Such a pretty BIG boat! And that’s a really nice way to put the name on the boat when they haven’t really left you much room to do so. I also have to admit, Im a little jealous of your copious amount of cupholders. Don’t quite get why the CS22 doesn’t have as many cupholders as they say passengers c...

Need Help with Name Short List for New CS22

Dealer recommended we upgrade to the Volvo Peña V-8 300HP (But I’ll be honest, based on what I’ve read on this forum, this might prove a lot of engine for what is a 22.6 ft boat that’s already on the lighter side in the line up… Q: when we talk about the noise of the V-8, how much louder are we talk...
