I’m working on that as we speak.Titaniumboy wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 1:30 pm If the dealer made a mistake why aren’t they still on the hook to correct it? Not that much time has passed if you bought the boat last year.

Re: R6 Surf Trailer
What's the difference between the 2 trailers or boat hulls? Can you not move / extend the bunk boards or bow stop to make the R6 trailer work correctly? Good luck with your sale. Post it up on the for sale section. There’s quite a bit of difference. Theres just enough difference with an R6 surf and...

R6 Surf Trailer
Hi Guys. I bought an R5 surf last year and the dealer set me up with a new trailer, however it is for an R6 surf. I didnt realize it until it was too late and so now I am stuck with it. It is a Boatmate trailer and a super nice one at that, but my R5 surf does not fit correctly on it. I have found a...

R5 Surf (350 engine) Lower Unit Oil Change
Hi Guys, Appreciate all of the help I have received from everyone with some of the questions I have had. I like doing a lot of my own maintenance (within reason) and had another question. Ive searched the web and can't find much on maintenance on these Volvo Penta FWD drives. Looking to change the l...

Re: 2020 R5 - Tower pre-wired?
Yes it does. Mine come on as well. Is the extra plug in case you want to attach more lights to it? The speakers I’m adding have lights in them so I’m assuming there’s a wire that will power those. Just didn’t know what the extra plug was for.

Re: 2020 R5 - Tower pre-wired?
I know they come pre-wired on the manual fold tower. Pop the four plastic covers where the speakers mount and you should see the wires. They drop down on both sides. You should be able to see the port set by opening the bench seat where the breakers are and looking up toward the mount. I’ve got the...

Re: Bow Filler Cushion R5
Did you have to install the latches? I got a bow filler cushion for my R5 surf towards the end of the season but cant figure out how to secure it into placeNorris_Boating wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 10:59 am Yes, there are latches that are installed on the underside of seat that flips. Sorry I don't have any pictures of that.

Re: R5 2019 no ignition can not trim up
Hey guys. I’m re-opening this old thread. Same exact issue. Engine will trim down but will not trim up. Went to start and it beeped at me and said crank override active “trim too high”. Trim is down but it won’t let me trim it back up. Looks like the sensor is off bc it bounces around on the gauge ...

Re: 2020 R5 Surf
Thanks! Mine is on a trailer so I’ll bring it to my dealer and hope they can get on it soon. I’ve had a string of bad luck and still waiting on cobalt to send another part. Caught a rock from a log truck and shattered my from port side windshield on Memorial Day weekend. Still waiting on that part!

Awesome. Thanks for that. I’m guessing the dealer will replace it since it’s under warranty. Assuming parts and labor?

Re: 2020 R5 Surf
Sratch that. Found the issue. Broken wire on the 3 wire trim sender. Looks like it’s a pain as I’m gonna have to snake it back through if I get the new part

Re: 2020 R5 Surf
Glad you got yours fixed. I’m having the EXACT same issue on mine. Where is the trim sender? Are the wires in the engine bay or outside by the out drive? Can’t get the trim to go up but it makes noise when I send it down
