The red light would come on briefly during engine start up and never come on again. I expected it would start flashing if something was wrong when I entered Surf Mode but that didn’t happen. It was definitely not an indicator of there being a communications problem.

Update…when there is no response to the controls on the Surf mode screen and no green light next to Manual mode it indicates no communication between the surf system and the Garmin cockpit glass. Hi AsLan7. Appreciate you jumping in to help. Uploaded a pic of the breakers which all look fine. Also a pic of the Surf screen which none of the buttons do anything and the little indicator light next to manual mode is not green as it should be.
