Great. I hear you on the Lanier vendor queue. I understand re-floating a dock isn't cheap either!
I think Cobalt may have done the extension for better stern light visibility from all angles.

Re: 350-CE Exhaust Temperature Alarm
Thanks stifflkd. I dont think this is a water flow/overheat situation (I have been down that road several times on a different boat!). I actually think it may not be a problem at all. The boat operates fine - coolant temp is normal, no limp mode, no alarms. Its just that I see that 1301F on the EVC ...

Re: 350-CE Exhaust Temperature Alarm
I was able to get the PIN by briefly accessing the helm. Got EasyConnect to connect up with my iPhone. Nothing exciting. Are our boats capable of displaying exhaust temp? Does anyone else see it on their EVC display? I may have been messing around and turned it on. I ask in part cause when Easy Conn...

Re: 350-CE Exhaust Temperature Alarm
Great picture! In my R5, the panel in front of the helm is covered with speaker cabling, stereo power relays and fuses, and two JL amps. Is there a panel above this, or do I remove the stereo panel?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: 350-CE Exhaust Temperature Alarm
Well spent some time down at the boat... Checked resistance on all 4 exhaust sensors, and they seem fine, yet still get the 1301F on the EVC screen. Is there a way to reset this? Downloaded Easy Connect, and sure enough it did see the boat. I went through all the boat paperwork which I meticulously ...

Re: 350-CE Exhaust Temperature Alarm
We have an early 2020 R5 with a VP 380 EVC. Just started having the exhaust temp error show up on EVC screen (see pic). Boat seems to run fine though. I dont know if I am more upset by this or the fact that I didnt know I could connect to the EVC system with Easy Connect :) Can you guys say more abo...

Re: First post! My dad is buying an R6, but we have a low clearance in our boat house. Any advice?
I want to replace my R6 stern light with this shorter samsone unit. I haven't look in great depth but it doesn't look like the current wires are long enough to cut and spice once you unscrew the 5.5" unit from the arch/tower? When you did they replacement did you have a similar issues and if s...

Re: First post! My dad is buying an R6, but we have a low clearance in our boat house. Any advice?
While the boat fit with the stock stern light, it had to be placed -perfectly- on the lift. Called Samson and turns out they make a shorter version (Cobalt has the do the longer custom black one). The Cobalt R5 light is 5.5" tall. The "standard" Samsone one is 2.75" so half the s...

Re: First post! My dad is buying an R6, but we have a low clearance in our boat house. Any advice?
We had exactly the same problem back in May. R5 with manual tower, new bakehouse with boathouse and lift. We ended up having the top structural section of our boathouse modified. There was an I beam down the center of the boathouse that would have hit the stern light with the boat lifted. Vendor rem...

Re: Battery Charger
Does the stock charger have leads to both batteries? I suppose you can accomplish the same by wiring to one battery, and selecting "Combine" on the blue sea, but not ideal...
