I did the drain plug. Wired it to the existing dash switch. I didn’t want to drill holes in my transom. I know..don’t judge me..
Decent, not incredible.
But, in the last four years, we’ve only been out at night once.

I’m guessing you live in a tower condo that is not on the first floor Bum? You are very safe. Those living at ground level better keep a FEMA policy in full force. IMO, what ever climatologists predict, they are obviously using past data as a reference.. We are entering into a new era of Antarctic i...

Re: Ian
The wind from a hurricane isn’t the killer, it’s the storm surge. I never fully understood that. Looking from afar in safe NYS, I always thought is was as simple as wind tearing things up. 10’ of water being pushed by that 150 MPH wind? Yikes. A mile away from this surge devastated area looks totall...

We’re down here for the winter. Ft. Myers beach is still a total disaster zone. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING destroyed, save for a few recent builds with updated building code specs. Homes, trees and vegetation are brown. Debris still everywhere in the mangroves. The power of water and surge. A...

Re: Loadmaster trailer
IMO. Obviously, be careful the first few times, especially if you use a V-block bow stop instead of a roller. More secure but be careful. Missing the block could be disastrous on the hull because steel on the side will come in contact. Just get the keel into the center bunks and power up close, like...

Re: Purchasing Discounts
Dealer has roughly 41-43% of mark up to work with.
Allotment is having a major impact now, and a dealer must profit more on less available boats.
I sure am glad I bought new in 17’. Those good old day prices are probably gone until he next market crash.

Re: Loadmaster trailer
Not required if under 10K GVWR. It is required on the rear though. Their bunk placement is spot on.. When you do load, make DAMN sure the center bunk grabs the center of the hull as a guide to the bow stop before you proceed to fully load. Go slow. You'll know when it grabs. Loading is currently ou...

Re: Loadmaster trailer
I tow with an SD Ford truck. The thing loaded barely touches the secondary leafs. I'm not sure how it would react with something lighter duty. With the extensions I specked, my trailer is set up for a little more tongue weight. Makes for a very stable tow at speed. Remember, the Loadmasters are not...

The boat loads like a hot butter knife through…well. Have you ever measured your tongue weight? I have a friend who is thinking about an R7. I tow with an SD Ford truck. The thing loaded barely touches the secondary leafs. I'm not sure how it would react with something lighter duty. With the extens...

Re: Loadmaster trailer
I don’t know if you trailer is the same spec as mine. I ordered the next size up in length, along with an extended tongue from what was the standard length trailer for the R7. I did that to keep my truck (and my feet) out of the water when retrieving. If you are getting the exact same trailer, I’d ...

Re: Loadmaster trailer
Good call on the brakes. If a trailer manufacturer makes money on you spending more money recommends that you not spend more money listen to her. Did that make sense? Wait a minute here, don’t try to sell a notion of that message from Megan. Let’s be clear, Megan tries her best to help unders...
