Re: Home Warranty

IMO. I've never bought a warranty on anything in my life. House, car...whatever. I look at the strip in Las Vegas from the Mandalay on down in total awe of its beauty and investment...and can guess with certainty that the odds always favor the casino, and Vegas was built on those challenging the odd...

Re: August 2023 Photos

We boat in Lake Erie, and the Niagara River which flows to the Falls. It's amazing how clean and clear the water is. No real need to even wash the boat when we retrieve, although I do it for the water spots. You can see a bottom that is aqua blue, and fish galore. Chautauqua Lake on the other hand, ...

Re: Cobalts BEST Hull

Bum, One thing that wasn't available on your surf was trim tabs. That corrects a LOT of ride issues on my boat. While not having them on our first boat, I ordered tabs because I thought it would help correct weight distribution issues with the dumb azz port side rear seating overload in the 3/5/7 se...

Re: Thinking of converting from Surge to EOH

All trailer tires seem to be built similar. Kind of weakened to absorb shock, shallow tread, and sidewall construction designed to bend sideways while turning. IMO, untrustworthy and prone to delamination. I know there are a few that are at the top, like the GY Endurance, but I'm still not trusting ...

Re: Thinking of converting from Surge to EOH

The tires I replaced were a typical E rated Chinese brand.
They were aged out, but the tread wear was substantial.
I realized the brake controller was the problem when I hooked to a different trailer with drums.
EOH has a totally different feel.

Re: Thinking of converting from Surge to EOH

A warning about EOH brakes that I have learned... Drums or surge brakes lag behind tow vehicle application, and you can feel them apply. Regular electric brake application is easily felt and adjusted. EOH brakes are a different animal. They apply so smooth, and apply so seamlessly perfect with your ...

Re: Cobalts BEST Hull

The truth?
Chop off a couple feet from each advertised length, because the swim deck is included in the overall hull length.
My R7 is a 27 1/2' boat with a 2' swim deck? It's actually a 25 1/2' hull.

It's the 190 for sure. it is the greatest Cobalt of all time Absolutely! I thought this was thouroughly discussed and agreed upon years ago. Liquid made the statement, and that was that..... At the tour in Neodesha, we let Cobalt engineers know exactly what their best work was. :D If there were a s...

Re: Discounts being seen on New Cobalts

Supply and demand dictates.
When supply was east to come by, I bought our boat at roughly 35% off in 2017.
Today, I’d be happy with 20-25%

Re: Advice on new R8 or R6

Hello all, We are looking at a new 2022 R8 and a new 2023 R6. Comparably equipped, both are 380hp with the Merc in the r8 and the VP in the r6. Both are plenty big enough for our Arkansas lakes and towing either occasionally won’t be an issue. The dealer before any negotiating is about $75k off the...
