Re: My 262 Build

Malco leather and plastic cleaner FTW. Hey SB555, I use the same stuff on my leather for my cars- it works great, however I was afraid of stripping off "The protectant on the Cobalt interior". Thought it may be to strong... Just want to make sure it safe. Please advise- fellow 226 owner.....

Re: Outdoor storage cover

Ditto on the recommendation to add a pole or two. I went with an adhesive snap and it didn't work, so ended up using a Vico Marine vent that has a sleeve for the pole. Works great. The ratchet system could use some improvement. It is a cheap rope and really should be a 3/4" or 1" web stra...

Re: Outdoor storage cover

I have the Sharkskin Supreme and I’m quite happy with it. Easy to take on and off after a few times to get a routine down. My advice would be to make sure you get the poles and snap patch’s so you can tent the cover to prevent water pooling when storing outdoors.

Re: 4 channel headunit powering 6 speakers

I just swapped my head unit out for one that has BT and works with my remotes. I already have separate amps for the sub. Works good! 20180405_201630.jpg YT, I just purchased the same head unit as yourself. How did the wiring work out? Did the old wiring harness connect up or did you have to cut and...

"Comes with a 5.7 GXi with 545 hours. The outdrive and F5 props are only 60 hours old after the owner and a large log played chicken (He lost)." Stan, welcome to the Cobalt chat club- great group here! Nice looking 226- I have a 2001 with the same power package except with F4's for Lake Ta...

Re: Setting power trim.

Nicad, yes as I have the same boat, and at altitude I hit it with trim down and hit it- then trim up once on plane as BB has said- around 2800 rpm or so- Listen to the laboring of your motor and speed until it sounds the best combination of the two and your wake smooths out. The faster I go the more...

Floored here... However, looks like a good move by Malibu to move into the larger boat segment.

Re: Cobalt Air Compressors

Here is a pic of the stock Coleman pump. I ended up buying the Coleman Quick Pump 12V which has worked well this past weekend. However, it did interrupt my Stereo during inflation. Maybe I could swap the new for the old?

That is where they had their personalized badge, as mentioned earlier. Cobalt will make a new one for you at no charge- I had it done for my 226 last year after I bought it.

Re: Running on 1 battery VS 2?

BB- interesting. My Volvo owners manual states to not use a Deep Cell for starting fuel injected motors... Have things changed with batteries since 2001 ? I'm still using the set up from the previous owner of my boat- how I described earlier. Thanks
