Seagrass flooring stain
I have either Hi-C or spaghetti sauce in my Seagrass. I'm leaning toward Hi-C. Anyway, it's been there a couple of days baking in the sun. Does anyone have experience or thoughts on getting this out? I don't relish the thought of replacing it. I'm sure it isn't cheap. I have used Dawn dishwashing li...

Re: 2012 8.1 alternator.
I was thinking along the same lines.
It was a brokerage boat, and wasn't cleaned prior to sale. I'll post pics after a good shine.
A25 w/8.1 catalyst engine. 400hp. So far the family hasn't quit smiling and that what it's all about for me.

2012 8.1 alternator.
I believe I have an alternator with bad bearings. I am fairly sure an automotive alternator will work, but can anyone say for sure? Using a gm truck works for the parts guys as a required vehicle to look up parts, but what about the year? Any help is appreciated.

Pulling from the pylon and the tower
Can anyone advise what the pull rating is on the transom mounted ski pylon? What about the tower? From the reading I have done, NONE of the tower manufacturers are okay with towing any inflatables from the tower due to excessive loads. I know Cobalt is high end, but I'm not super impresses but the p...

Re: Check in from Southern Indiana
I'm looking two big block 250's this week. I would really like to know what kind of top end to expect. How is the ride quality? I was told today by a dealer that they were an entry level Cobalt as far as amenities. You just don't see anything on the web about them. That seems to be counter to every ...

Re: Check in from Southern Indiana
The 242 set the hook when we started boat shopping in earnest. After reviewing the budget, it just isn't in the cards. Now, we are looking at a 226/496 and a 250/496. The BB Mercruiser has been the sticking point since we started looking. The 226 is probably the more practical, but the wife wants a ...

Check in from Southern Indiana
HI! I'm not a Cobalt owner yet, but I will be this summer. Hopefully by the weekend. That will likely be the nature of any posts that I make in the near future. I'm set on the Cobalt quality and hull efficiency. I'll be buying a boat to haul my family of 5 around KY and IN lakes. I have been around ...
