Pensacola Beach Air Show

Anyone else headed to the air show in July? Best place to watch is by boat!

Re: anchor line size

Very jealous of the water there Deadon--- for BBP--I ended up taking the sender unit out of the tank. I stuff rags in the opening to minimize the smell. I got a little over 25 gallons out before I ran out of vehicles to fill...so I'll top it off with fresh fuel before dunking her on the 4th (it's 5...

Those look sharp DO04 👍
Nice documentation too. 👌
Thanks! Thing I’m dreading is the vinyl work that I want to get cleaned up. Will save that for the winter!

Re: anchor line size

I use 3/8” braided on my anchor lines, we pretty much always double up bow and stern in the bay so we can stay pointed in to the wakes rolling in which many times is perpendicular to the current. I also use 13 lbs danforth anchors which are probably a little bigger than I need, but they tend to hold...

Had to take off a 1/4" on mine
Hole saw
Had to set up wood jig on mine and filing not good option
I had to add about 1/4” to the factory hole to get these to fit.

Courtesy Light Replacement

Figured I’d add a quick post on replacing my courtesy lights in my 07 232. Old lights were working fine but were looking aged and plastic was looking a little cloudy. I first bought the stainless looking round lights all over eBay and Amazon, but on arrival I didn’t like the look. After a little mor...

Really great shots! Wife went Austin College in Sherman. Told me used to have some good times up at the lake.

Re: June pics 2021

Wore the kids out tubing. Really loving this solo stove. They aren’t totally smokeless when starting , but once it gets going there really is virtually no smoke. Base ring keeps it up off ground and does not get very hot relatively. Doesn’t radiate a ton of heat, most of it is funneled straight up. ...

Re: Tig Tech flag pole installation

Look great! Did you use any sealant, as I didn't see any in the picture. If not, then you should use 3M 5200 adhesive to ensure secure installation and seal the cut fiberglass. Interesting observation on the anchor light; I would have thought Cobalt would have used bolts, nuts, and fender washers. ...

Tig Tech flag pole installation

Bit of a windy and choppy day on the water so spent the afternoon getting some projects knocked out. First was the tig tech flag pole. This was my first major hole to cut in the boat myself, but came out fine. Figured out placement by flipping mount upside down to find a good spot. The back end of t...

Re: May 2021

A great weekend on the emerald coast. Some wind and pretty good chop in the bay early Saturday, but has calmed down nicely.

Enjoying afternoon on Norriego Point in Destin Harbor.

Re: Stereo overhaul for 232/242

What a nice job you're dying on that boat. Everything looks great. It would be nice to hear how it sounds! Let's get a vid of her! Much appreciated. I’ll see what I can put together. Really enjoying it. This is a great boat for us and with a little cleaning up and updating here and there looks much...
