230 Owners? Mooring Cover?

Post by Jdixon656 »

Hi all! I just bought a 2010 230. Seems like this is not a real common model, only made for a few years.

I’m wondering if there are any other 230 owners out there, and if so, if any of you have had any luck finding a high quality cover, that has Bimini top cut outs.

My boat came with an oem cover but it’s in rough shape. All the others I’m seeing online for the 230 model do not have Bimini cutouts.

Any options out there besides paying $1800 for a custom upholstery shop?

Thanks!

So glad you found us Jd656! Wow. She really shines.

I’m a fan of not skimping on covers. Hope you can find what you’re looking for but custom may pay off in the long run.

How is she powered?

And welcome aboard mate!

Nice boat. I've been looking for one with a tower and a Bb.
Yes they are rare.
You will have to get a custom one made. I got one for mine and love it.

Wow. 295 hours. She’s just broken in! Nice find.
Spend the money and cover that gem to keep her pristine. 👍🏻

I just bought a new factory mooring cover for my 220 Wss off Ebay and am having it modded by a canvas shop to fit my tower. It's not done yet, but I think it wiil work out well and save about a grand. Just a thought.

Just an update for anybody visiting this after the fact. I found that commercial sewing apparently makes the OEM covers for cobalt? But you have to order through a dealer.

I just ordered a new cover, Bimini cutouts included. Price was $1299 plus tax, 3-5 week lead time. Looking forward to getting it in!

You will be happy with the Commercial Sewing cover! I ordered one last spring for our R5, I was told 3-5 weeks but it was closer to 2- 3 months. It was worth the wait!

Nice, thank you for the head's up, I'll temper my expectations on the lead time. Beautiful boat by the way, That white R5 is exactly the boat that I'll be looking to upgrade to at some point down the road .....
