Brand new props for cobalt R7 Surf

Just sold my 2018 R7 surf. I ordered an R8 Surf. I had purchased a backup oem Volvo prop set just in case. According to my dealer, It won’t fit my new R8. Paid $2K. If interested in making an offer, please send PM. It’s is the oem Volvo Penta K4 set. Includes both front and back prop.

I also had some spare props for my R7 surf. I ordered an R8, my dealer told me the props are the same. My R7 surf was a 2020 so I don't know if maybe that has something to do with it. After seeing this post I called them and asked them to double check, and they confirmed the props for a 2020 R7 surf will fit on a 2022 R8 surf. They said the spare props I have are the same props coming on the R8 Surf.

That's why I asked. If anything maybe just a diff pitch. I would have kept them.

I hope K6 because I just bought them as new r8 surf shipped to dealer w no prop. I am trying to verify this on the forum.

This isn’t correct from what I am told. I was told the r8 surf with the 430 engine (not the 380) uses the K6. Do you have the 430?

The new R8 surf takes the K5 props. I just spoke to cobalt directly.

Thanks for the heads up, my dealer is exchanging my props. They said they’d of worked in a pinch but long term better to have the correct pitch for the heavier boat.

Good deal. The K4 or K6 will work but I think you did the best thing.
