I have a 21 R6 with the dual 10" Garmin 8610s. Can these be removed from the front for access to the wiring behind?
I am installing a GVC20 black box to accomodate a tranducer.
Where is the best place to wire the power?
Would also like to tidy up the tranducer, network and other cables behine the dash.
Having front access wouls be great. Any ideas?
Thanks
Ken

Re: R6 Twin 8610 Garmin Panels
Based on pages 2 and 3 of the PDF linked below, it looks like you should be able to remove trim caps and M4 screws in the four corners of each panel, and unscrew them to release the panel from the dash. I don't know the R6 specifically, but on most Cobalts you can also access that area from the front by removing a panel behind the front seats. I've done this on my boat several times and it does provide pretty good access to the whole dash electronics area.

As soon as I spash it, I will post some pixs...Thanks
Re: R6 Twin 8610 Garmin Panels
You will have to remove them from the rear unless there's an easy way to remove the dash piece that I'm not aware of. This pic is of mine, and as you can see, there's no bezels to remove to access any screws from the front.
