rear view mirror

Post by JimGilly »

Looking for recommendation as to a functional, quality rear view mirror for my 232, that I can attach when towing, remove when cruising around. Thanks, Jim G.

I just got a PTM mirror - haven't installed it yet, but it seems to be very high quality. You can flip down the mirror when not in use, but you can't really take it off easily - two hex bolts clamp it to the mirror.

PTM clip on mirrors are really good. When I had a Malibu, there were a number of folks that put it on the port/passenger side window, so I tried that and never went back. It provided a better view and was out of the way while driving. A couple pics pulled off their site for visual, if you’re interested.

PTM Edge gives a discount to forum members too, if you buy direct from them. See:

After 12 years of boating, I finally bought the PTM mirror. This is the base model.
