Trailering R5 with Bimini

Post by jimmyr5 »

I have a 2014 R5 my question is do I lay the bimini back for trailering by removing the two rear support arms. Or do I just leave it up in the stored position. I tried laying it back but didn't seam to lay flat.

Just leave it up. It’s designed to travel up.

Left mine up for the last couple years. I wish there was a better way as it has torn up the cover.

You can leave in in the "up" position. I've trailered several thousand miles like this and the only ill effect was I needed to tighten the bimini screws where the bimini attaches to the hull----after about 3 years.

DO NOT trailer with the bimini in the fully deployed position
