Adding transom shower to R5

Post by billk2632 »

I'm looking to add a transom shower to my R5. Found the Scandvik shower that looks like the one Cobalt provides. I also have a sink in my head, so the freshwater tank and pump is already there. Installation should be pretty simple, just mount the shower and connect the waterline into the existing one. I would like to see how these are installed by Cobalt - would anyone that has one be willing to post some pictures of your install, mainly interested in how the water line is tapped in and routed from the pump.

Thanks

Here are some pics of the shower installation on my 18 R7 the waterline comes to a T that feeds sink and shower and gets tie wrapped up the side to the stern and into shower head. Hope this helps.

2019 R7 Came with the "Whale Twist Deck Shower" FYI

Also if you see the picture I posted of the battery access recently, you can see plumbing, at least the connection to the shower and where they mounted it.

Installed my transom shower this weekend. Very easy install, except the pucker factor drilling the hole. I used flexible tubing and Sharkbite fittings. I think we will enjoy the upgrade.
