Good to hear from you. I just went to the Minneapolis boat show last Wednesday. Zero degree weather, but it was fun to go with my son and my dad and pretend it was boat season for a few hours. Erickson had some nice Formula and Tiara models, and I'm always a bit surprised that Scout sells in MN but I see the quality there too.

The Cobalt booth was a lot like last year. I still sort of wish they had at least one series (maybe preserve the old A series?) that tried to aspire to their deep-vee, high quality materials, and flawless finishes of past decades, but I can see how they may be more price competitive and more profitable with their changes for the time being.

Good to hear from you S55....Trust all is well with you and the fam.
It's been quiet around the site as we are in the throws of winter. Spring is just around the corner though.
How have you been?

I hadn’t posted here in a months until last week. We really didn’t do any boating between early October and Christmas but now are enjoying our first winter in Florida as new empty nesters. El Niño has made for some unusually cloudy, wet and coolish weather but we took the Whaler to dinner tonight and had it out until an hour past sunset. :D. And yes, my wife was in charge of that bow line and left it very untidy on the bow cushion.

MN, I'm regretting not taking pictures for you during our 10-day zero degree stretch last week ;) There's fresh ice on the roads this morning - maybe I'll find something to post to make you miss home.

Glad to hear all are doing well. Never went to the ATL boat show as the list of exhibitors was very underwhelming. Without going into detail, let's just say that 2023 wasnt' the greatest ending on a personal note, but part of life everyone goes through. From a boating standpoint, the fall/winter sucked. Lake lanier was down almost 9ft "because of drought". There was one part of the lake with islands that people normally rip through that were actually connected by a land bridge in the fall. It's now almost full in a matter of 2 weeks--so was it really drought or a controlled release? Because of the water levels (normally have 8-11 feet under my dock, had less than 2 at the low point), had to pull the boat out off the lift, so it wintered in my driveway on the trailer (so glad I paid for trailer storage that I couldn't use). I know-first world problems. A huge storm came through and ripped my welded 1,000 anchor pole off the bracket on the dock, so that was fun. At least the dock didn't end up on the beach or the middle of the lake like so many. I guess we'll see what the summer brings.

I sure don't miss the frigid days of MN.....although I did have to put a light jacket on to to take the trash out this morning.

Take care everyone
