fishing platform ?

Post by sfoster »

I've got a `77 19br that the family loves, I was more inclined to a fish and ski type boat. So my question is has any seen a platform built/added to the engine cover?

Not sure exactly what you're looking to add to the engine cover area - a place to sit and fish? Looks like there are some commercial options that would be easy, but I might add the rail:

Around here most people sit in elevated seats and fish, and there are plenty of raised seating options like this that will fold down, and may fit the bill:

Im going to build a engine cover that can hold a 300 lbs man with a swivel seat. Im thinking about reworking both seats on either side of the cover and integrating them into the engine cover as one piece so when opened ill have a lot more room to work.

Just haven't studied it long enough yet to have it woked out in my head. Trying to get idea's and some pointers to keep in mind.

cool! I understand your question and I can say that I haven't studied enough material on this topic, but I have my own boat. Your idea is great and I hope you got it. I found some *additional hints* that facilitated my search for the material I needed. I advise you to use them.

That thread was from 2015. I think he built it and caught a big shark and sunk his boat and was never heard from again.

I'm glad "carol" isn't a real person like "Tammy"...she didn't seem cool enough to be "the second girl of the forum"

She would not have passed our test!

Some people do this thinking that hiding links back to their site on other sites will improve their search engine ranking. She's been banned and the link deleted, although I left the post so the thread is readable. Thanks for reporting it!

This is absolutely true. Especially if she was an essay writer. I bet those gals don't even like captain's call from the other side of lake. Let alone being in the boat. Those ladies probably like it quite where they can think.
