Dash panel OEM manufacturer
It looks like Tecnographics in Florida does a lot of the OEM dash panels for Cobalt, and may be a good option for repairing or replacing damaged parts. They can be found at http://www.tecnografic.com/

I have just been in contact with Sam over at Tecnografic. He is great guy and seems to offer a premium service. The panels look great on website.
You have many different choices of wood grains, carbon fiber patterns, solid colors, etc. You can also upgrade to backlit engraved lettering in your choice of at least 3 different colors or do silk-screened lettering. You can also remove unused switches, gauges, or go completely custom with a totally different layout for no extra charge.
Here is link to 3 files:

I have not yet ordered, but plan to in the near future. I will provide an update when I do.

Re: Dash panel OEM manufacturer
Just ordered a set of replacement panels from Tecnografics for my 2002 Cobalt 240. Looking for insight as to removing the old panels, switches, lights & gauges and then reinstalling the same in the new panels. Is this a big job? Tips? Pictures?
Thanks for your help!

Not hard, just take your time and unhook/remove one swtch/gauge at a time, and reconnect the wires until you can remove the old panel, then install in reverse order. If I can ask, what did it cost for the new panels?

Just short of $800. This included the 3 panels by the steering wheel and the 2 curved panels on the port/starboard gunwhales. They did a bunch of custom work at no extra charge. I eliminated the depth gauge, air/water temp gauge and the stereo remote from the right hand panel and moved the trim gauge to the left hand panel. In its place I am mounting a Garmin which will give me depth, air temp, water temp in addition to GPS maps and fishfinding. Also moved and renamed several switches on the left had panel. Should be delivered in 2-3 weeks. I'll post pics when they arrive.

Seems/is a lot of money for the panels but they look awesome. Better than new and they'll never weather like the originals did.

Re: Dash panel OEM manufacturer
For the level of customization you're doing I'd say that's a fair price. For a OE replacement I'd probably pass at that price. I'm attempting a vinyl wrap on my stock panels and making some vinyl labels to rename some of the switches, but I'm keeping the layout the same so new panels weren't justified. Can't wait to see the pics when you get them.

Take pictures. They are only held in place with small bolts and nuts.

Has anyone tried cutting their own with an XCarve or similar? We have one at work and I'm somewhat tempted to give it a try...

Re: Dash panel OEM manufacturer
In my case not all the panels are flat, so fabbing new ones would be a lot of work.dirtydozen13 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 1:38 pm Has anyone tried cutting their own with an XCarve or similar? We have one at work and I'm somewhat tempted to give it a try...

Re: Dash panel OEM manufacturer
I just received my new panel from Tecnographics. On an '08 252, what is the best way to pull the old and replace new. Do I have to go one-at-a-time with the gauges, from behind, or can I remove the entire assembly and do it from above?
Thanks!
Thanks!

All the gauges need to come out, label everything and take pictures. Let’s see some pics of the new panels!
