Lake Michigan for Labor Day

Over the past holiday weekend we packed up and drive to the West side of Michigan. It was the first time exploring that side of the state with a boat and it was a great experience. Because of the weather we were not able to get as much lake time as we would have liked but we now have great ideas for further vacations.

Lake Manistee offered nice inland boating with access to Lake Michigan through the Manistee River. Places to dock within walking distance to many restaurants.

Lake Hamlin is a great watersport lake with room for tubing and wake boarding. Also access to secluded sand dunes. A great place to anchor, explore and swim.
