Storage on CS23 Surf

Post by mikenash »

Hi there,

I took delivery of a 2020 CS23 Surf today. I have barely had a chance to use it at this point, but I have to say that I didn't totally comprehend the amount of storage that you lose because of the surf systems as compared to the non-surf CS22 I have spent a ton of time on. You basically lose the space next to the engine and the ski locker (II knew about that), but today I realized that you also lose the aft locker where you normally store tow lines and such.

What are other people's best practices for where to stow:
1. Basic emergency life jackets and other emergency gear
2. Towels and food that guests bring on board
3. Fenders and lines

Thanks in advance.

Bummer. That's the problem on these surf boat no matter which ones you buy. I've never seen one so I can't help. Sorry. Hopefully you enjoy her though. Let's see pictures of this bad boy and all of the storage on the boat or should be storage.

Hey mike.

Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

Yes, that’s a major issue with surf boats...loss of storage with ballast tanks. We looked at a Chapparal that had the same issue. We thought about getting a friend with a pontoon to carry all our stuff.

Any pics of your boat?

Again welcome aboard mate.
