Re: Don't forget to use your blower!
Remember to pull the seat of off your PWC before starting to check for fumes. There is no blower, and sloppy fueling can lead to gas fumes building up. We go to 2-3 explosions each season.

Re: Don't forget to use your blower!
Good info here. We only used blower on our last boat when starting for the first time of the day. After reading the Cobalt manual, we use it several times a day, including after sitting or put-putting around. Glad I read this and next season we'll turn on blower while gassing up.

NO!....not during a fill up.
It's only AFTER you fill up do you run the blower a minimum of 4 minutes K1111111111114. That way you don't suck gas fumes into the bilge area and blow them back out.
This was discussed here.

Hopefully it wasn’t this one in the slip next to you. It still may be burning ...

Re: Don't forget to use your blower!
I turn it on as soon as I get to the dock and it stays on all day. The only exception is if we stop to swim. Then I turn it on as soon as we decide to head out. By the time everyone is loaded and the anchor is up, the coast is clear.
