Need help on which top to order on R6

So we have an R6 on order with the prism tower. My dilemma is that I’m not sure which top to get. We will be getting the electric tower and I need it to set as low as possible with the mooring cover on. So do I get the rotating sun shade or the Bimini. It looks like the Bimini top will go lower.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t think think that the tower will lower with the mooring cover on, I could be wrong I haven’t seen a mooring cover for the new R series boats. My R7 surf tower wont fold down with the cover on so I’m just going off of my own experience. I like the looks of the rotating sunshade. I don’t like how the Bimini top looks when it’s folded up on the prisms tower, the way it juts out to the rear of the boat looks odd to me for some reason.

By what I can tell the top will go down partially with the cover on. My R5 surf was the same way but it wouldn’t latch so I had to ratchet strap it down using the side cleats. It was not a power top. This was so I could lift the boat higher out of the water on the cable lift. The new boat will be electric so it should hold its position wherever I stop it.
I’m with you on the Bimini top looking weird when not up! It looks like you hit a bridge at speed!

Exactly, I like the look of the rotating shade and I really like how it folds down. Post some pics of your new boat when ya get it.

We have R8S with Prism tower, rotating shade & mooring cover. I don't believe it will work with the tower lowered based on how it folds down and the orientation of the mooring cover/support pole system.
