I agree with everything said here. It’s scope. I’m struggling on my current lake because it shoals up so fast. It can go
From 15 ft where you want to be anchored to 40-60 ft in 2 boat lengths. That means carrying one heck of a lot of anchor line

What Bruce said, if it's all chain. If chain/rope, you might need more like 5:1. Plus, bite anchor after dispensing rode.

Update: took everyone's advice and the anchorage was mostly empty and let more chain out and it worked fine, granted there were no waves or anything just light wind, but still feels like a success :)

Great! Hopefully you can get it to work in the wind and waves as well when needed.

If you do start to drag the anchor in the wind and waves just let out more chain. That is the key to anchoring.
